★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Croissants were not flakey nor light, perhaps their other selection is better but as a croissant lover it was not the best. Not inedible though
Response to reply from owner: there were 2 sections of croissants on opposite sides of the store, no signage indicating they were day old. At 2$ a croissant I thought they were fresh, a day old might be generous, covid hit hard, a week old croissant may be more accurate.

Update: On the day we were there, my daughter and I watched your staff come from behind the counter and stack tarts on an open shelf. They were definately not wearing masks. Just thought you'd like to know.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We go to Sugar Me Cookie when we want to treat ourselves to something extra special. Everything is fresh, delicious, and looks so pretty. My husband favours their Apple Turnovers. I love their cupcakes and Vinaterta Imperial Cookies. When we want a holiday gift, we send their Vinaterta. When we need a Dainty Tray, Sugar Me Cookie does them up beautifully. Upon presentation, there are always "Ooo's" and "Ahh's".
We can't resist going in!

Trekked to Gimli with thoughts of The Butter Tart Lady dancing in my head - well not the Lady, rather just the tarts Tarts TARTS!
So. My first visit to this delightful shop of sweetness.
Me. I snarfed (NOT all at once):
✔️ an Espresso Butter Tart
✔️ a Pecan Butter Tart
✔️ a Coconut White Chocolate Butter Tart
Sufferin’ succotash!!! They are ALL WINNERS!

Pastry is excellent - light with just the right amount of flaky and fillings are tasty as well as visually appealing.
Thanks Butter Tart Lady for all you do to create these delicious morsels of sweetness…you are on my “Must Visit” List for Gimli ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a cute little bakery! I've been meaning to come here for a couple of years now and finally stumbled across it while I was in town and it was open.
Such a friendly shop keeper who greets you with a smile and let's you browse in comfort.
There is a variety of tasty treats here -something for every taste bud! From traditional Icelandic Vínarterta to cupcakes, prepared soups, bagels, pies, hot chocolate bombs and more!
Conveniently located across from Hidden Treasures along the main road, there's a parking lot adjacent as well as plenty street parking. You can also easily walk here too...from the beach!
You'll want to be sure you stop here and treat yourself!
