2 buddies and myself went in for some food. All ordered their expensive 11.00 hotdogs. And a Montreal smoked poutine to share. With 3 beers. Could have gotten better dogs at any street meat cart. Poutine was not what they have described on the menu.1 of the three beers were flat, upcharged us 1.75 for a tablespoon of sauerkraut. Horrible experience. Oh, this also came close to 90.00 after tax

My order was taken promptly and Services was friendly, server recommended a beer that was a great match to my request parameters. High quality food. The Bean/Beef Soup was excellent and evey spoonfull had more meat than anything else, the fish and chips were piping hot and the panko style battter was crisp and the in house tartar sauce was great. The price and the portions seemed in line with the style and quality of the food advertised on the website though indvidual taste here would be a signifigant factor. If you're looking for the most bang for buck perhpas skip it but if like me you were looking for a unique experiance I whole heartedly endorse. I'll definatley be back.

My fiancΓ© and I for Valentine’s Day decided to explore Gimli - for myself the first time. We stayed 3 days and each day we managed to visit this hidden gem minimum once a day. From the locally sourced food option availability to the amazing staff this place is truly a spot to never not see. I may forget the place Gimli in time but I know I’ll never forget the service numerous staff members gave us - Especially Krista. Always above and beyond and makes this hidden gem even more cherished. Thank you Scott for opening a place in such a beautiful place and hiring such amazing staff that not only cook well but are truly great at their job. Thanks Ship and Plough for making my Valentines Weekend the best I’ve experienced!!

Attention to the Owner: restaurants like Big Boys in the town of Gimli are less expensive than your's, and provide quality food in large portions. They have business expenses too. No excuse to over charge, and under deliver in food quality, taste, and portion sizes. Their food is made from scratch too. Other costumers in your reviews have also said the food is alright, and over priced at your restaurant. Original Review: Great service, but the food was over priced, and the food quality - I can make way better tasting food at home for what I ordered - borscht soup, ribs, caesar salad, and onion rings. They charge you $1.50 if you ask for extra salad dressing or any kind of condiment they deem as an extra. Ridiculous considering the food prices. Not worth it. Big Boys is much more worth the taste, portion size, selection, and service.

My boyfriend and I went for a drive yesterday evening and decided to stop in at the Ship & Plough and really enjoyed our evening and food! We shared a baked brie which was out of this world delicious with a generous portion. My boyfriend had the drunken mac and cheese and I had the salt and pepper ribbies with french fries. Both meals were amazing with yet again good size portions. Food was well priced and well worth it. Our waitress was quick and very friendly the whole evening. We will definitely be back again??

Just had fish tacos for the first time and husband had fish and chips. Every bite was amazing and delish. The beer was cold and refreshing. Such a nice server. Atmosphere was dark and cool What an amazing experience. Will for sure be back.

What a waste of time and money. The food tastes good. However, they keep apologizing for the delay in the service. That's because it takes 1 hour from your order to your first bite. Problem 2 is the service. Stop apologizing and clean the tablesβ€”what a sticky table. The third and final issue is the plate sizes. My 12 year old son had a fish sandwich. He loved it. But come on!!!! $16 for a 5 inch and half fish fillet. What a joke. There is a fast food a cross the street. Went to finish dinner because I did not want to wait another hour to be served. The presentation of the plates are fantastic. Impressive for such a small portion. We had a fish taco and the pickerel sandwich.

The environment and the service was good. The Baked brie was unique and delicious, but the S&P platter was $42. It’s a little overpriced.
