Strathcona Child Development Centre - Sherwood Park

We recently moved our 2 year old son here and for the first time he is enjoying daycare! Danielle and her staff do an amazing job of making everyone feel welcome, exposing the kids to new things, and having happy, safe environment.

We love SCDC. I have nothing but great things to say about care provided to our three and a half year old daughter by the staff at SCDC. As a working mom, knowing that our daughter is learning, making friends, and is happy to attend daycare each day, gives me so much freedom and peace of mind. Thank you for all you do Danielle!

I worked as an Early Childhood Educator for the year of 2019. It was by far, the best experience I’ve ever had in my entire career. My peers are caring, outgoing and love the children as if they were their own. Danielle (owner) and Tiffany (Director) ensured the facility was run accordingly with licensed protocols, and never once let any of the staffs efforts go unnoticed. We regularly had team building meetings, course updates and underwent a smooth transition from Danielle’s ‘old centre’ - Olive Tree, moving the occupants to the new centre SCDC. The staff worked strongly together in creating an amazing home-away-from-home for the children and their parents. The food menu is top notch and nutritious for both staff and children. As I go back to my current job in Fort Sask from Maternity Leave, there’s no doubt in my mind that I would LOVE to have my son attend full time at SCDC.

We loved our experience with SCDC and can't imagine having gone anywhere else with our family. We were always amazed with the great care, beautiful facility and amazing programming. The staff were always caring and professional, with little turnover.

We love SCDC! Danielle had been kind and welcoming from the very first meeting. She is always available to answer any questions and responds to emails quickly. The classrooms are very clean and inviting. There are so many new and fun activities set up daily for the children to enjoy. They also do a lot of outside play time which is always a favourite for our daughter. All of the staff that I have met are so friendly and caring. My daughter is very shy and was very nervous to go to daycare without us being there with her. Teacher Diana and Teacher Cindy made her feel so welcome and loved on her first few weeks and always reassured me that she was fine after a rough drop off. (She would cry when I had to leave her the first week or two of being dropped off, now she just says goodbye and runs in to see her friends) I also cannot say enough good things about Teacher Kurestyn. Leaving my daughter with her every day makes going to work a lot easier, knowing she will be happy and treated with so much love. I feel like all of my daughters teachers really take the time to get to know her and learn about her interests and what she enjoys. Knowing that my shy little girl now looks forward to going to daycare every day and is truly excited to see her friends and teachers, lets me know we made the right choice in choosing SCDC for her care. Some daycare centres may look amazing but you need kind, warm hearted, passionate staff who will love your child like their own to really make the place amazing. SCDC has the best of both words. The centre looks awesome and they have the best staff around. I would recommend Danielle and her team to anyone looking for fantastic childcare. ?

My family and I absolutely adore SCDC! The facility is clean, organized, and set up for the children in mind. We have been here for 2.5 years, and appreciate the staff, education, and care they receive. The staff take time to get to know the children and set up activities that they love. The quality of programming is second to none. Lastly, Danielle and Manuela in the office are just amazing. So caring and involved. We are a new family at SCDC and already can’t say enough great things about the staff and facility! Being our first, going back to work was understandably a tough transition on mama, but the staff (and I mean every single one we’ve interacted with) has made this transition so much easier. Our daughter loves attending daycare here. The facility is very clean, tidy, and perfect for nurturing growing children. I would highly recommend SCDC to any family!

I cannot reccomend this center enough ! I have had both my children at SCDC for a year now and it is absolutely amazing. I cant even begin to explain how much Danielle and her staff have went above and beyond for my family . I am forever grateful for her and the staff. My children are very well looked after and I do not have any stress or worries. We have been in multiple daycare centers over the years and this center byfar exceeds them all in every single way . The center is very welcoming and is kept spotless and is beautifully decorated with living plants. The staff are all wonderful and caring and they provide excellent healthy meals. The programing and activities for the kids are fun and educational and my children are thriving here . I would reccomend this center to any and everyone with children looking for child care, you will not find a better daycare facility and more caring staff. They are the BEST!!!!
