I don't understand why a hospital wouldn't let someone where a prepackaged 3m n95 masks to wear instead of there own. They know darn well that it's the best protection against covid and their staff are wearing it yet if a patient brings one to put on and take out of the package in front of them and put on they won't allow it amd insist you wear just a surgical mask. I have refused medical attention on this basis because I am afraid to bring the virus back home to my family, yet I know I need to visit the ER.

I had my child here in 2018 after my home birth plan wasn't going as planned. I went in with my midwives who were welcomed with open arms and required an emergency C-section. Not only did everything go incredibly smoothly, they were do reassuring and discrete that I wasn't even aware how critical a situation was. The ob who I was given last minute, was incredibly sensitive, reassuring and visited me over the 3 days I was there. I also had 1 nurse throughout and many others who helped when needed. It was like being at the cottage, but sterile! Best experience ever.

I took my 11 month old daughter in this morning at 4:50am. She had not slept all night and had been extremely congested and coughing for a few days. When we got in there was no one in emerg. So I assumed we would be seen fast. At 6:40 I was starving and struggling to stay awake I asked a nurse whom appeared to be on her phone for most of the morning if she knew how long the wait was for the doctor and her only reply was β€œno I don’t” we waited from 5am (the time the registered us) till 6:40 and not a single nurse/doctor called on us and I watched multiple people leave. I ended up leaving and to my surprise only 6 other vehicles were in the parking lot. 4 of which were frosted so obviously they worked there or had been admitted/there a long time. One was also someone who had just came in, in labor. We are currently waiting for an appointment at a walk in. Really disappointed, I made the drive from gilford. We are between alliston, Barrie and Newmarket. I choose to go here as I heard their wait times are fast and stuff were super friendly. 1 out of the 3 nurses whom seen us were actually super warm and welcoming and unfortunately that was only the covid screening nurse. I for sure won’t be going back. At Newmarket and Barrie they at least advise you how long till a doctor/if they are super busy tonight if you ask this is why I felt the simply reply β€œno I don’t” was cold and rude.

I had to use emergency the other day, this town is very racist. I found the staff to be extremely rude and I was under medical distress and no one was helping me. The sign says if you're experiencing chest pain let the nurse know. No one cares. Registration is a bit of a disorganized nightmare. I had a lady named Natasha who was extremely rude. The hospital itself is very old and dirty. I was sick to my stomach and didn't want to touch anything. Rather drive 30 mins south to hwy 400 and major Mac. The hospital there is newer, cleaner and you get better medical attention.

The staff at Alliston’s hospital are fantastic. I have one issue, that is the heat at night. During the day it is comfortable but at night that is a different story. Feels like it is about 60 degrees at night, when you see nurses walking around with blankets over their shoulder that is a sign. Remember folks if your staying overnight take your warm clothes..

Dr. Ozon was great! My child (3) wasn’t able to explain what was ailing her. He asked thorough questions in his assessment. We were there during a busy evening and didn’t feel rushed at all. He gave his diagnosis and treatment but also explained the cause. He the took the time to have a conversation with me with on the treatment, allowing me to understand and ask questions. He also advised what to watch for moving forward to ensure she was on the mend. Very good bedside manner.

Came at night time with my wife, she is pregnant, was bleeding badly, we were waiting 2 hours in EMPTY emergency room before doctor came to see her, very nice people. Now we can only hope that everything is going to be fine with our child. And as a gift we've got a parking ticket for parking at hospital parking lot, thanks again people. P.S. For the parking enforcement officer, who wrote that ticket, I understand that's your job to do, but when I came to the hospital with my wife bleeding, I didn't really think that parking lot in front of the hospital can't be for a incoming people.

I have been there 2 times with my baby and the attention was super nice. The main entrance, register, triage personal is amazing. The nurses and doctors too. And waiting time is the longest like 30 minutes to see a doctor, or less. Maybe is busy sometimes but I was lucky and I always went around 5-8 pm. I compare with my experience at Emergency Room at Royal Victoria in Barrie and is way different. This hospital is not super brand new like Royal Victoria but is way more organized. Our new favorite place to go when needed. Definitely recommend.
