R	R Smart on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Steve’s Masonry Service rebuilt our chimney; the new chimney they put on my roof leaked rainwater into our home. I spent 2 long years trying to get the owner to fix the faulty chimney he put on my roof. We had to get BBB involved. Fortunately, once they were involved, he fixed it. Funny how that worked; says a lot about this company in my opinion. Would NOT recommend this company!

They were careful, thoughtful and precise. Steve has a lot of integrity and did not overprice or exaggerate the scope of work required. The clean up process was impressive and I am relieved to have the envelope of my house sealed and established again! Thank you!

Luckily, a friend recommended Steve and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. He and his crew did a brilliant job for us -- the new chimney looks great and is exactly what we wanted. It was refreshing to find someone who takes pride in his work and who goes out of his way to make sure you are satisfied with the result. If you need masonry work done, we would strongly recommend that you call Steve.

His crew and himself are personable and easy to chat with and they got the chimney down safely and quickly. He went above and beyond by getting someone in to patch our roof so we didn't have to deal with that aspect. On top of that he also left his scaffolding up for the weekend when he didn't have to so we could get someone else in to patch up some damage to the sheathing from some animals and put up some temporary siding saving us time and money. A+ Crew and A+ guy.

They arrived when they said they would and did a very nice job on the repair. The chimney looks a lot better. They also cleaned up and even washed my car that got a bit of dust on it from the work they did. Thanks It is a little over a year later and I am not happy at all with this company! I have contacted them a few times by message on their phone and emails to them and absolutely no reply. After spending 1500 dollars to repair the water coming into our chimney, we are still having the problem that they were supposed to have fixed. Do not hire this company. I phoned another company and they got back to me right away.
K	Kent Hailey on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here's a breakdown of my unprofessional experience with Steve. "We also offer free, no-obligation quotes" - Directly From Steve's Masonry Service website. I reached out to Steve to get a quote as I was having some chimney issues. I was upfront with him that I was getting multiple quotes, which I had as I was doing my due diligence. Steve followed up with me the day following the quote to see if we wanted to hire him for the job. I told him we were not ready to make a decision, but still considering it. He then followed up again with me today, (2 weeks later) and I let him know that we wouldn't be moving forward with his company but thanked him for the quote. He asked why, and I let him know we had decided to go with a different company. Steve quickly turned belligerent and got upset telling me "why get an estimate if you're not going to sign on for a job." Called me a time waster, among other things. The level of unprofessionalism that Steve portrayed during this follow up call regarding his quote blew me away. It's not acceptable in the slightest. If you don't want to provide "free no-obligation quotes" in the future Steve, remove that from your website. It's not okay to take out your frustrations out on a potential customer that is simply doing their due diligence. If this is the way Steve behaves in this process, I couldn't be more confident that I made the right decision to not hire him for his services.
G	G Bteaches on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ UPDATE: Unfortunately had to take off another star because some of the mortar is already crumbling after 2 years, on a side of the chimney that I could not see (a roofer showed me and said it didn't set properly and needs to be redone in that one spot). Emailed Steve's Masonry weeks ago with photo to come fix - no reply. ----------------------------------------------------- These guys responded quickly to a leaky situation, despite being very busy, when everyone else brushed me off. My chimney was leaking into the ceiling of my kitchen and Steve immediately came to wrap it, to prevent further damage, even though I hadn't hired him yet. They fit me in between other jobs (the work stretched for weeks) but they rebuilt both my chimneys and they kept my home safe and dry in the meantime. I had to take off a star because bricks that flew off the roof during demolition of the old chimneys were left behind where they landed, and communication with the guy who actually did the work could have been better (I never knew when he was going to be on my roof and he did not warn me when he was starting demolition so my dogs were outside when bricks fell off the roof). Also the rain cap keeps blowing off. The finished work looks good though and no more leaks! (it's been 2+ years). Price was very reasonable.
