Francis Ramos over at SCU Lag is great to work with. He is very transparent, and replies promptly. He is the reason why I will be switching all my personal and business accounts to SCU... as well as my mortgages. I am very satisfied with the service.

I just have to say Rose Foulkes, is amazing at the SCU Lag location. I have been working with her via email/ phone since 2019 she is always super friendly and just a fantastic person to deal with. Keep up the good work Rose and Talk soon.

I have 3 accounts with SCU and have been a loyal member for 10 years. 300 dollars in cash somehow vanished while I was doing my buisness deposit at the teller yesterday. This isn't pocket change, it was a deposit for my buisness so I darn well know how much I handed over. The teller never counted the money, but rather ran it through the counting machine , which kept jamming and caused money to be left in messy stacks on the counter for prolonged periods of time. Someone stole my money, was it your jamming machine or your employee SCU?

I was recommended to go to Steinbach Credit Union on Lagimodiere by my father. Everything went great start to finish. My appointment was with Sabrina to discuss lending, went in not knowing much and feeling a little discouraged. I left with A LOT more knowledge and understanding feeling more confident, she was very easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I then met with Carol to become a member she was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable she discussed my different account options and informed me of a few perks. I will be reviewing my current banking and most likely switch over to Credit Union in the near future. Great service!

I just signed up with a mortgage here since we already had a rental property with a mortgage here. They are slacking with paperwork and left our lawyer almost no time to do his part on closing the mortgage. Then yesterday when I called on June 24th asking where the pin number was for the new account debit card that was mailed out to me on June 10th, the lady was rude, saying how she doesn't know this and that, and didn't even want to look up my account to verify it had been mailed out. She said if she puts the request in she doesn't know how long it will take. Well how else am I supposed to access this account without a pin? She cut me off mid question and said have a nice day and hung up. How can one be so miserable can one be over a simple PIN request. Update: spent 52 minutes on hold (happens often), my phone was sitting next to me on speaker as I waited, when I was 1st in line they disconnected me. I would say they have the worst banking call centre and I have accounts at BMO, CIBC, Tangerine, Scotiabank and Simplii.

Lots of service charges, banking app can be out for days at a time, long wait times when trying to contact via phone, will be switching banks.

Paid off mortgage in full 4 years ago and just recently noticed it’s still showing up on my credit report as unpaid. Stay AWAY from this bank. They do not follow the law and completely destroyed my credit that I worked hard to build. Winnipeg lagimodiere location

I was advised that I would qualify for a loan for the amount requested during an in-person meeting on Jan 18. I started the process to get a loan with SCU on Feb 24, 2022 (date I received my 2021 T4) and submitted everything requested. However, we are over two months into this process and it has been completely unprofessional and disorganized. I went weeks without hearing from anyone as the loans officer was out of the office (this part is understandable from a personal perspective but the company itself should assign replacements during extended absences. Our entire life cannot be put on hold because one employee is out of the office). I would only receive replies after multiple emails and phone calls were made by me. After two months they have now asked for additional information. I don’t believe if I supplied this information today, they would get around to approving the loan in a timely manner based on past delays. I found another lender that completed the application in just over a week (they asked for all information upfront and actually submitted to underwriting in a timely manner). SCU gets 1-star for poor communication, poor execution of a loan application, and poor management of employee schedules & workloads.
