Very poor service, the staff isn't friendly. They mention again and again that : we are not your main branch. Which made me feel helpless. There is a lot if scope for improvement. Also, eye roll to customers is not very welcoming.

I came with my Ukrainian guests and we were turned down as they have Working Permit. We were told that my guests don't qualify for Ukrainian package because they have the permit so they are not Ukrainian refugees. Explanation that all Ukrainians arrive on the Work Permit did not help. I don't know if it's the senior advisor lack of knowledge or training or the bank policy. Such a shame

Worst customer sevice experience ever. I lost my wallet other day and called customer service number to get is all blocked and they said you can go to any branch to collect your debit card because we can not apply for it online. Anyway i went to this branch today on my way to work and they told me that we can not proceed with your debit card thing as you have to call you home branch which is in ontario. Now i feel helpless as they didn't even tell me the reason that why they cannot give me my new debit card. I have seen a lot of bad reviews of this branch. I hope they can improve one day.

I went into Scotiabank Nairn and Panet on the 1st June and met with Eva to switch chequing account from TD Bank to Scotiabank. Eva went above and beyond my expectations with overdraft protection and setting up my online account. If you were unhappy with your last experience at Scotiabank I would suggest giving them another chance as I found my experience was top notch

The level of incompetence at this branch and scotiabanks contact center is BEYOND measure. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I have an aging mother who has dementia getting power of attorney took someone at this branch 2 weeks to get back to me. Fast forward a few months later there was another banking issue I had to deal with for my mother which was at this branch. I went into my local branch out of province to try and deal with the issue but sadly since my mothers main branch is this clown show of a branch I had to deal with the narrin/panet branch since scotiabank doesn't have a centralized data system and the "files" are local to her branch. I escalated it with my local branches customer service manager internally to get a rep to contact me. One week goes by no one contacts me. I contact their contact center to express my discontent they assign me a meeting with the branch assistant manager 4 business days out. I begrudgingly accept it and book that 1hr time slot off work for the call. CALL NEVER COMES. I call the contact center back to complain, which they had no records of my previous call(every help-desk has a ticketing system and this is brutal), they offer to transfer me to the local branch to try and get this sorted. I ask the contact center will this be a warm transfer or a cold transfer and I have to wait through the queue again. The rep assures me its a warm transfer, NOPE back in the queue. Scotiabank fix your horrible branches and fix your contact center, if they don't know what a warm transfer is this is a HUGE problem.

Lost my Scotiabank Visa and went into branch to cancel. I was advised that to do so I'd have to call Visa myself but that it would "probably take an hour". I asked if there was anything they could do to help since I was already in the branch and they offered to cancel it through my online banking. Unfortunately, no one there knew how to despite passing the tablet from employee to employee and asking each one to give it a try. Finally, they told me it wasn't possible and that I would have to call Visa myself. When I asked what happens if my card has been used in the meantime while trying to get through, they told me they didn't know. Never had less confidence in a company than I did today.

The employee named craze was so helpful and polite to fix my issue. She was seeking help from her supervisor while the time of service but anyway she helped me to get the certificate that was really needed for my immigration purposes. Need this kind of employees that can understand the problem of customers.

My mother used this location for many, many years. She pasted last year and her account mgr was the worst. When my mom past I went to branch and discussed with tellers who were super nice and supportive. The account person was not. Had to come in three times with same info then still didn't get anywhere so ended up moved joint accounts with me to another branch. I realize financial institutions aren't set up to manage death but the heartless, careless nature for those still around needs to get better
