K	Kostyantyn Halanets on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Broke my Mitsubishi Evo 7 GT-A auto transmission and I didn't know where to take her to get fixed, or who's good for these cars. Stan's got recommended by a family friend, his BMW has had work done there. As a car enthusiast I had a few requests, use newer Evo 9 GT-A parts and modify the transmission to handle more power and shift quicker. These guys had no problem following my requests and at the end of the day my Evo shifts quick and smooth! Would recommend for a transmission repair and will come back for any other transmission modifications.
O	Old Crank on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stan's Transmission rebuilt and installed the transmission for my race car. I have had no problems, the diagnostic was accurate and honest. It is a very difficult job but they did everything well and correct. The cost was what I expected and I will be going back to them with other cars.

Referred to them by my regular auto service shop for a check engine light regarding a malfunctioning lower gear in the transmission for my 2016 Jeet Cherokee Trailhawk , Carl at Stan's was super thorough. He checked both via diagnostic and road test not once, by twice on two separate days my transmission. It turned out to be not the transmission, but a marginal battery which skewed the various dash warning lights. The charges? Nada, nothing , ziltch! That got both my attention and respect. I have no hesitation in recommending Stan's Transmission! When I need transmission work in the future, they will be my 'go' shop.
B	BOHRERBROS on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I brought my 2004 Grand Cherokee in to have my shift solenoid replaced because my vehicle was not downshifting and the code indicated I needed to replace the solenoid. They replaced the solenoid and everything appears fine with the transmission now. However, on my drive home I noticed the speedometer was not working. I went back to Stan's Transmission and they examined my vehicle for a while and said they could not find the problem. I have now made an appointment with my Jeep dealer to diagnose the problem. I now have a new problem. I will find out next week what the problem is and report back (update below). I am very happy with the price and work on my transmission. UPDATE - PROBLEM SOLVED, we went underneath the vehicle and pushed on all the wire connections near the transmission pan and now the speedometer is working! Some bad connection was the problem, so Stan's Transmission didn't do anything wrong. Stan's does good work at a good price

I am happy to recommend Stan's Transmission to those requiring any sort of transmission service, whether it be an overhaul or a fluid change. The five-star ratings this venerable business has obtained are justified. Last July, my 1995 Mercedes S-Class transmission has been showing signs of tiredness and no longer reversing properly. Jim diagnosed the issue properly and determined the problem to be worn-out brake bands and clutch plates. Like a good father, he also advised me not to drive the car to Alberta until the transmission was properly serviced. All told, the team at Stan's was able to rebuild the transmission using quality parts, at a very fair price. I was even provided a reliable German courtesy car for the duration of the servicing. Now the car shifts smooth and crisp, like new. Reverse also is now instantaneous upon shifting. Upon my return for the check-in a month after servicing, Joel attended to me expeditiously and courteously. He confirmed that everything is in order with the newly-rebuilt transmission. I am assured that the transmission should last at least another twenty years. I also have peace of mind thanks to the included standard mileage warranty. I am quite convinced that this full transmission service is money well-spent to keep a classic vehicle in reliable daily operation and out of the junkyard.

My experience speaking with the gentleman at Stan's was very positive and I qualify that by the amount of information the individual shared with me about the job. He was very knowledgeable and laid out all of the possible scenarios and options for my car repair replete with pricing and timelines. I did end up going with my mechanic, but just because we have had a good working relationship and he has done me some favours in the past so I feel it was fair to repay his efforts and give him the job. Having said that, I was very impressed with my first impression of Stan's and for that reason, fully recommend them for a quote.

I took my Mercedes here assuming there was a transmission problem (due to codes scanned by my mechanic). It turns out the codes displaying were somewhat faulty. Stan’s Transmission test drove it enough to bring back the error code causing issues. Since it was not a transmission problem, they let me know so I can take my car back to my mechanic to get fixed. They were very patient with me and did not make up issues to charge me. I will be coming back if I ever need transmission service and will be spreading the word about this great place. Thank you very much, you showed me there are still decent people in this world.

Joel and the team did a great job on my car and these guys are highly recommended. I will definitely be back here for my third rebuild ;)
