This is the worst run company I have ever seen. I have been dealing with all the same issues since the beginning of school. No bussing, no communication, no accurate GPS tracking, sometimes notifications about the bus sometimes not.. it is so sad that this is the situation as a parent I am in to rely on a company so mismanaged and terrible. I understand shortage of drivers, I understand covid. Maybe this should not be the excuse for ever situation you are put in and start being proactive about getting results. I have spoke with dispatch, where they actually told me that my son was picked up, meanwhile he is sitting in MY car. I have been called to confirm whether he was going to be on the bus, then the bus does not show. The list goes on and on. I have spoke with the GM and his response and “investigations” into the situations ( numerous) where just never calling back. I have asked to rearrange bussing schedules to include other kids to accommodate lack of bus drivers, they said it’s because our driver is sick… that was Sept 8! I have yet to have a bus show up at my house on time or when I try to call they rarely answer, even the school board transportation people Can’t get through… seriously pathetically run company, especially when blame is distributed elsewhere in conversations you do have with them!

Literally the worst. I understand that there's a shortage of drivers, but that doesn't mean your phone should ring for 15 minutes without anyone answering. I left 3 voice-mails begging someone to call me back to see when my daughters bus would arrive. No return phone call, then the bus showed up at 9:40, which is at least 2.5 hours late. The communication with this company is atrocious. I will be driving my daughter to and from school myself from now on, as I have zero trust with Southland.

I been with southland since my daughter started kindergarten till now. 2 weeks ago the bus was late over a half hour no call or email, my mother in law called me no bus, I was at work my child had to miss school my husband and I can’t leave work, my mother in law can’t bus with a toddler the bus was over a hour late we have pick at 842-the bus didn’t show till 1030. Yesterday and today the bus has been half hour late, my child is missing half hour to a hour of learning due the bus being repeatedly late. They added more kids on the route she has drive south side to the downtown core. Southland has come up with a better system. I know the driver is struggling with pick up she told us.

Bus was so late we made other arrangements (3 hours, no updates or communication), in the end it didn't even show up, tried calling and no one answered the phone. That was yesterday. Today, same thing, a message from the school saying the bus will be an hour late. A real hour, or the 3 hour wait and then no show, again? I'm calling now, and again NO ANSWER not even voicemail. Is this a business? Shouldn't someone, anyone, answer the phone during business hours??? You have our children on your buses, we should be able to contact someone to find out if the bus is ever coming, or where our children are. I am reporting this to BBB and reaching out to the school for follow up.

Worst company kids always late, and the bus are so dirty and bad smell, no wonder kids always get sick thought with the virus they would be more careful and responsible. Take your business somewhere else

Easily the worst bussing company in Edmonton. Take your business somewhere else. This place is a joke. My kid had NEVER made it to school on time once this year. He always arrives about 2 hours after school starts.

This bus is always late, no gps online also to check, waiting for more than 10-20 minutes in - 30 celsius was no fun. Called every time to school about it and no change happening. Asked school to change the bus service, they said they can't because they in the contract. My daughter have skip class several times already because of this bus problem and i can't drive her to school because i have to work.

The school bus drivers need to learn when going to their yard that other vehicles exist !!!! Friday Jan 21, 2021 at around 3 : 30 pm right before the bus gets to his yard, literally cut me off. If it wasn't for me to back off, my truck would have hit and more and like cemetery ruined! I will contact DOT to check on their licences and get the whole company checked out by the Better Business Bureau !!! # 6282 or 6585 can't remember I was in traffic! Have a safe driver and proper safety meetingd!
