★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped here in the early morning to dine on a takeaway breakfast before the Visitor Centre was even open. It was lovely even while closed to enjoy the surrounding garden and exhibits.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of great information. I was around for the orca exhibit and learned a bunch. Sadly the 3rd floor was closed when I was there as they are improving the experience but the 2nd floor was super beautiful and informative

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic pit stop on your way to Juan de Fuca. The staff there are super friendly and can share insights on attractions and seasonality expectation. There are also lots of resources free to take that can help you gain some knowledge about particular attraction points. The historical equipment and items were very neat, love the knowledge shared along with some story telling audio display. Please don't forget to support this location and get some post cards or merchandise!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely worth the visit, the map of the shipwrecks in the area and the history of Sooke and Leechtown were very interesting. Tons of history, great dioramas and artifacts to see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a quaint and well appointed Museum, Recent visit was lovely one can spend a few hours here. The gift shop is well stocked and has a great selection of local art, books, clothing and more. Something for everyone and all budgets.

I am from England in Sooke visiting my daughter and her family. It is nice to see the history of the place she has now made her home, and to realise what a welcoming place this is.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped on a whim after spotting the lighthouse, and decided to check out the museum. It's a pretty tiny museum, but well curated. The outdoor exhibits were all still under cover and closed off, but we had fun poking around the old equipment that was left out in the elements.
As this museum operates on a donation basis, it's really tough to complain that you're not getting your money's worth! :)
