Sol Grill Room & Lounge Osoyoos

I can’t say enough good things about this place… Both Dion and Angelica have been working off their feet all day and night running this place trying to provide the best service to everyone.. anyone who thinks otherwise needs to give their heads a shake.. My family and I have been here everyday for almost a week and they have tried everything to ensure we have been helped with being short staffed and still trying to stay running… I am so appreciative of their service, hard work, and friendliness of making what is still a pandemic filled world to make us feel comfortable and welcome … fabulous job !!!!!

The food was definitely (that should be in caps, bold and underlined!) worth 5 stars. I had the blackened prawn pasta and the flavours were simply amazing. Loved the spice, prawns were cooked beautifully, pasta very nicely done, and even the garlic bread was juicy, flavourful and thick.... like garlic bread should be! I would happily give 5 stars except the servers were still learning their jobs (covid has changed a lot!). They were both super friendly, big smiles, wonderful personalities and lots of fun, but a little more experience (give them the chance people!) and I’d give this 5 stars all around. Super meal!

I must say it doesn't even deserve 1 star. My family and I were staying at the Holiday Inn and Suites for our summer vacation which was Absolutely Fantastic!!! We had ordered breakfast for take out so that we could sit on our patio and enjoy our view from the deck. They indicated it would take approximately 20min until it would be ready. My daughter and I went to pick it up and they said it would be a couple more minutes, no problem! 20 min later I ask if it's ready yet and was told just a couple more minutes, as I was standing there with a clear view of the counter to the pass. That is where it really was Absolutely Disgusting!!!!! I observed a server stirring up a bowl of porridge and starting to eat it over other food that was being prepared to take to tables in the restaurant and yes mine being packaged up to take out. The server finished her porridge and then wiped her mouth with her hands and then proceeded to grab 4 slices of bread to put in the toaster, once she completed that I said excuse me you didn't wash your hands after you wiped your mouth! Her response was i wasn't eating so why should I wash my hands!!! The server continued to lie about the whole situation. I brought it to the attention of the manager of the hotel and they have it all recorded, busted! I was Absolutely disgusted with the whole situation and especially in these times of covid 19. I demanded my money back and left! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DON'T EAT HERE!!!!!!!

Our server Angelica was super sweet, however what seemed to be the "manager" a middle aged angry man, after we ordered our drinks (a group of 30 year old women) he brought us our drinks, then asked for ID we all handed him our ID (my friend has a temporary license and credit cards, debit cards etc in her name) he wouldn't look at it and was super rude asking us for no attitude when we had simply said we're all now 30 in a kind joking manner. Not sure why he was such a rotten nugget. The restaurant was super dead. I'm sure our original server could have benefited from our 200+$ order but instead we took our business else where and tipped our server privately in cash.. shame on the manager for handling the situation very poorly!! Also the funny thing is I handed him my friends ID by accident and he accepted it....

This is an excellent place to dine. We really enjoyed the view of the lake. Our waitress was very professional and prompt. The food preparation and taste was tops. It was a great evening.

I hate giving two stars, but I can't give more than that. The waiter was trying, but the kitchen and bartender weren't helping. Several drinks were sent back because they were horrible. The drinks that were good were over priced. The food was lackluster and WAY overpriced. I would would only give one star if it wasn't for the great view.

Great food at a fair price! Amazing view of Haynes point, and a nice walk down pioneer walkway is right across the street. Try the cheese platter, lots of food to share, also the strawberry champaign herself cake is a good choice.

Restaurant in the Hoilday Inn. Walk into the lobby and head up the stairs on your right. Beautiful views. Nice wide open spaces between tables. The waitress was very kind and patient. The potato croquettes were yummy but not what I expected. Baked/fried browner than expected. Grainier texture as well. Flavour was nice with the sauce. Our french onion soups had lots of cheese and a good size piece of bread inside. The soup itself was on the bland side and onions pieces could have been softer. The blueberry tea and 2 x gin tonics were tasty. $60 bill. Not cheap but not bad considering the view. It is better during the day than after dark. Not to many lights on that side of the lake.
