Dr Hicks was very professional and thorough with the exams.
The staff was very helpful and courtious with helping to choose glasses.
The glasses were done quickly and the final fitting was fast and well done.
We would recommned Dr. Hicks to our friends and family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I agree with the one terrible review here and under yelp. I have been going to this office for many years and while I find my eye doctor terrific, the front staff is terrible. Basic good customer service is to look up when someone walks in and say "I will be right with you". I have stood at that desk for five min with three staff ignoring me. Repeatedly. This is not just an isolated occurrence. I am not expecting them to drop everything but a simple acknowledgement should be given. There are two who are really nice but three who are just awful and downright rude. The girl that sits at the far right with the medium length dark hair is so rude it is unbelievable; she is one of the ones who fits glasses although there is an older lady and a younger blonde one who fit glasses who were very good.. And the girl who sits more towards the left with the short dark hair, thinner, is also incredibly rude; she is one. I cannot believe they get away with this behaviour. Rude, abrupt, lacking customer service, seem just interested in money. I would take my business away if it were not for the fact that I like and trust my eye doctor. Get some new staff!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very clean and efficient place for your eye care needs, Dr Hicks is very meticulous and doesn't cut corners. I was referred to a specialist and cant thank the front end staff enough for following through on everything in a kind and friendly manner

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fairly straight forward and friendly. It was a painless process between getting the eye appointment completed, choosing glasses and ordering the appropriate lenses. They were also quick with the turn around in having my glasses back in and ready to pick up. Very satisfied with the service provided.

They did a great job of checking my eyes with state of the art equipment.
They found a problem with one eye, and an appointment was made with a specialist.
Surprisingly I had eye surgery within a few days of the referral.

I live in Ottawa and I make the trip to Smith Falls
because of his thorough, professional exams and friendly help
in choosing the correct eye wear best suited for me.
The delivery time for the glasses is quite fast once the choices are made.
The front counter staff is friendly and helpful.
If they're on the phone with other patients, they quickly finish with the call to greet me
and get me started with my visit.
I would highly recommend Dr. Hicks to friends & family.
