We love our Smith Home. It has been 3 years and no issues, lots of compliments and the quality craftsmanship and trademark has held up well.

I toured the latest showhome with my family and it was absolutely beautiful. There are so many thoughtful details that go into their homes. The staff was lovely and they have some modern, fresh design ideas. My kids loved the sports simulator and my husband loved the finished, huge garage and equipment room. These guys are experts at what they do!

Initially, I would have given Brett and the team at Smith a 5 rating and recommended them as a builder of choice to anyone who asked. Their design and attention to detail (we thought) was second to none. Then, the one year warranty elapsed and there has been ZERO accountability for the workmanship of their trades. Both front and back door installed incorrectly and jamming; thermostat THEY installed causing humidity issues and told us we changed it; no insulation on fresh air intake piping; and now, to top it all off, 2 1/2 years after buying a new home, gas leaks on the furnace piping. While we know they didn’t do the work themselves, all we’ve encountered is a blame game. No accountability and no responsibility. So disappointed as they appeared to be reputable at first. Now, they hide behind Progressive Warranty (another joke of a company that exists only to protect shoddy workmanship) and take no blame. Would never recommend anyone conduct business like this or use anyone who does.

Smith Homes recently renovated our entire main floor! They made the process very easy. Aili was super helpful with design and Brett was very knowledgeable in regards to the construction and what will work/not work when renovating an already existing space. The co construct app that Smith Homes uses was an awesome way to communicate progress and timelines. We now have a beautiful, functional, family space that we love! And they even finished a week early!! Thanks Smith Homes, we love it!

Our experience with Smith Homes has been incredible from day one! This is our second home build and the two processes do not compare. The design process was simple but thorough. Brett and Krista listened to our list of must haves and found a way to fit them all in our budget. Throughout the building process, we felt informed with regular updates and photos on the CoConstruct app. We loved being able to walk through the home and ask questions that came up. I have to say, you'll never see a cleaner construction site and I think that speaks to the care and detail they put into every home. Aili is a great help in making selections and is very responsive. I love that their homes are unique and they are a local family. If you're looking to create a home that fits your lifestyle with high quality finishing while still enjoying the building experience, then Smith is absolutely the way to go. I'll be recommending them to family and friends for a long time to come.

I recently photographed in one of the beautiful Smith homes.They do outstanding work. The quality is superior and very unique. Each room was stunning and perfectly designed with so much closet space. The shower upstairs was huge big enough to do yoga in. Our Smith Home in St Albert continues to be a delight. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I remember spending so much time looking for a home building company that builds homes with care and quality. Before the pandemic, when we entertained guests they would marvel at the attention to the smallest details. The built-in storage is amazing and I cherish the extra-special details now that we spend so much time in our house.
