★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband Floyd and I went to skinners today for our 25th wedding anniversary. Let me just tell you how much we loved this place as teenagers. The service was absolutely fantastic! These two young ladies both blonde hair and glasses had amazing service! They made sure to greet us with absolute joy, their kindness was heart warming! I hope the employers of these ladies know how great they are doing! I had to get their names for this review ( Audrey and Taliaya) ! Such wonderful service and we most definitely will be returning ! Our food was out so fast even though it was super busy and tasted fantastic! Thank you Skinners Hwy 44 for making our special day great!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped there the first time in years. Nice retro decor and very clean. We got a hot dog, a smokie, onion rings and one drink. My smokie was ok with just onions, mustard and relish as fixings but priced over $6. It was kind of disappointing as the Costco smokie dog was better and costs less than $2 including a drink. Onion rings were tasty but fries were average.
The girl taking the orders even got our drink order wrong giving us an ice tea instead of lemonade. Now I know Skinner's is a busy place with a lot of hype but at $26 for a small order of fast food which was really average I'm not sure I'll be back. I'm honestly the least fussy guy when it comes to eating out but I was expecting a wow hotdog at their wow price. Too bad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ah yes, where the hotdog made its debut here in Canada. Love the atmosphere. Lots of parking. Cool treats there as well.
But..bring cash for this nostalgic walk for yourp taste buds and eyes. It's not a cheap place to eat. A burger, footlong hotdog, and two orders of poutine brought us to the $35+ mark. With some added condiments which were extra.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered through the take out window. My hotdog was to be loaded. Very disappointed in the lack of toppings for the price. Gave 4 stars because service was good, hotdog was nothing special. Not worth the drive or time in my opinion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has hot dogs hamburgers french fries chocolate shakes ice cream treats. It's pretty much got you covered for great food. Very clean and tidy and stuff are awesome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were driving around the area and we saw the diner and the sign mentioning they were famous because of their hot dogs.
So, I order a hot dog and I must say that though it was ok, I didn't find it particularly great. The photo of the August special looked really great, full of fillings, and the one I received it was sad and looked absolutely nothing like the photo. And for $7 a hot dog, I was expecting much more.
