★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siva Yoga is a wonderful Sivananda Yoga centre conveniently located on Homewood Avenue just off of Locke Street in Hamilton. Instructor Danielle Downey is not only a highly qualified instructor, having trained at various Sivananda Centres globally, but is also an intuitively nurturing instructor. She pays careful attention to each of her students and offers creative modifications to each pose so that students can achieve their full potential while respecting their bodies' needs. Danielle is also very good at encouraging beginners while challenging more experienced students.
Sivananda yoga is both a challenging and sustainable style of yoga, incorporating intensive postures with relaxation, so that students build strength and flexibility, without risk of injury. I highly recommend Siva Yoga for anyone who wishes to enjoy a lifelong yoga practice.
