★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been going there for over 10 years - got hooked working in the mall when younger and now whenever I am within a 15 minute radius I always make the trip in for Shumka. Get a maxi plate, meatballs, and saurkraut, all delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been a fan of Shumka ever since I was a little kid when they used to be in the Londonderry Mall just down the road from my elementary school.
Why?
The nalysnyky. If you’ve never tried this dish (pronounced nah-less-ni-ke in my family) what it is is a Ukrainian crepe, filled with cottage cheese, baked in cream, and sprinkled with dill. It’s basically a heart-attack waiting to happen, but at least you’ll know you’re going to die happy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good. I ordered from skipthedishes once and then ordered direct from the food court the second time and the price was more expensive in person though. Not a big deal. Good for when you are far from home and want that traditional Ukrainian eating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered some Shumka for lunch today. Had 3 varieties of perogies, cabbage rolls and kubasa, it was all so delicious. The portions are a great size, all the food had lots of flavour and was fresh and hot when it was delivered. Would absolutely recommend Shumka to fill your Ukrainian food cravings! Yum cabbage rolls!

The posted food board is a bit confusing.
The server was very helpful as I only wanted a small plate of pierogies and a small bowl of beet borscht. Cost 9.19 but tasted great. Knocked a star down only because the meal board was confusing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is unreal unsurpassed in my opinion I ordered a keilbassa in a bun it was delicious, the perogies were perfectly cooked with such a perfect balance. The sauerkraut soup was great, nice and sour with a briny undertone. Sauerkraut was more cabbage texture than store bought sauerkraut definately the real deal definately the best I’ve ever had and I’ve been to the Ukraine, Russia and Georgia, as well as Germany. The borscht is very sumptuous with that perfectly earthy flavour of beets this is now my go to and as a foodie I suggest you check it out too. I also have to call moment on the staff I had issues with skip the dishes they delivered my original order at the wrong address. Was unable to contact skip and they did it for me ! I have never ever had such an amazing customer service experience like this they went above and beyond one of the sweetheart ladies even offered to drive my order to me after she finished my work amazing !!l
