My son ordered 6 new appliances that were delivered today by two young men who had to unload them all in snow banks and carry them down a longer path than had it been a summer delivery. They took great care taking each appliance out of the cardboard in order for it to be delivered to my son's older home. They had to remove the front door in order to get the fridge inside. The washer and dryer were carefully brought to the basement. Once done, they put everything back in its spot and shared instructions on warranty, etc. with me. I am grateful they were able to keep the delivery time as my son had to wait over 70 days for the appliances to arrive. With all the snow we received over this winter, the pathways were a challenge and narrower than I would have liked.. but like I said, these two were very professional and knew what they were doing! Took less time than expected to get the 6 appliances indoors. Will recommend|!!

I would give them 0 stars if that was an option. If you have a piano, don't use this company. I chose Shortline to move a piano because it got such great reviews and because the office staff was very professional. I am very sorry to say that I had a terrible experience with this company. The movers were three hours late even though when I booked I stressed that the person on the other end needed to be there on her lunch hour. When the movers arrived at my home, one mover said that he really needed to use my bathroom BAD! He was in there for about 10 minutes. I know that people need to use the washroom, but it seems to me that they could have stopped at a Tim Hortons. They dropped the piano off my back step. We heard a loud crash. When we went to see what had happened we found Joe climbing on top of the piano to get outside. Then they got it stuck in the doorway. You could see that they had it on an angle rather than bringing it straight in. They brought it downstairs. The back corner of the cabinet was damaged and when I pushed the fallboard back, the keys were jammed up in an arch over the keyboard. It told Joe that it wasn't like that when I bought it. He proceeded to punch the keys down with his fist. The knob on the fall board was at a angle as they had bend the screw. (I was lucky that my piano tuner was able to fix the cabinet and the screw.) Joe took my credit card info on a scrap of paper - so unprofessional and I am not sure how the security of my credit card is guaranteed. About 5 minutes after they left, one of the movers opened the back door and went downstairs. Apparently he had left his phone charging in my basement. He had unplugged my air cleaner to so he could plug his phone in. Again, I would have said yes, but he should have asked. When I informed Nancy at the office about the fall, and the damage, she said that I had told them that is was a console piano and that Joe said that it was full size. She said that I should have paid extra and they should have had an extra mover for a full sized piano. I sent her photos of the piano with a measuring tape to show her that I wasn't lying about the size. So the movers lied about what happened. Shortline did refund me the cost of the move. I was lucky that there was no internal damage to the piano from the drop as I would have been on the hook for having it fixed or having someone haul it away. The movers also damaged the bottom of my new screen door. I asked Shortline to have that fixed as well. Shortlline refused to cover the cost since I noticed it two weeks after the move. It is winter and so I really don't look at the inside of the screen door much as the inside door is closed. And there is nothing else that could have caused that damage. It would cost them $35 US plus shipping but the answer was no. Bottom line for me. Their office staff are very professional and personable. Their movers were terrible, unprofessional, clumsy, and they lie. I can't stress this enough...this was a terrible experience. I would avoid this company. There are other movers. Shortline is not worth the risk. Saw the response from the company and wanted to add that they did NOT get my piano delivered safely - it was damaged. Refunding my money was good, but if the piano would have been damaged internally, I would have had to pay to have it fixed and if it would have been unfixable, I would have had to pay for someone to remove it. Not acceptable, since the drop was on them. Given that it is winter, my inside door is closed I didn't notice the door damage straight away. It was exactly two weeks after when I notified them - not months, just 14 days. Again there are other movers, I wouldn't use them again.

Steven and Mike were excellent movers. They showed up exactly when they said they would, moved the furniture quickly and without any issues, very professional. Delivery to the next address also went very smoothly. Nice guys and very courteous. Highly recommend this company. Have used them before and will do so again if needed.

Excellent experience top to bottom. Matt coordinated our move and did a great job. The 2 movers Mike and Leland were friendly, courteous and anxious to please. They worked efficiently but cautiously. It simply couldn’t have gone better. They arrived exactly at the time promised and completed the job within the time Matt suggested. I’d highly recommend to anyone.

I hired Shortline Moving to move my senior parents from the country to the city last November. The customer service provided was exceptional throughout the whole process from the quote to the final move. Everybody I dealt with was caring, friendly and made the whole moving process less stressful. The quote they provided was competitive and the moving crew was outstanding and took care with my parents possessions and did the job efficiently and quickly. This is the second time I have hired this company and would highly recommend them without hesitation.

Today I helped a friend move from a house to an apartment… something she's been dreading for a while.  But thanks to these two guys, Mac and Sevat, the move went without a hitch.  They were fast and efficient, but most of all very friendly and helpful. The price quoted beat competitors and the senior's discount was a bonus. We give this company and these guys a five star rating.  Highly recommend Shortline Moving Solutions.

I used Shortline for my move last summer which involved moving my furniture and household goods into storage and then a few months later from storage into my new home. The first half of the move went really well, and all of the glowing reports that other reviewers have given the company applied to this part of my move too. In the move to my new home, however, I experienced a different level of competence and professionalism. One of their team dragged my white laquered desk (it was virtually new before this happened) across my front door threshold damaging the edges. I saw it happen as well as other tradesmen in the house at the time also witnessed the event. Then a while later they unpacked my king size Tempur-pedic mattress in the truck , and dragged it across the truck bed and into my house, soiling it. What was the point of carefully wrapping it up and then remove the wrapping in the truck? Although they sent someone to repair my desk, it is never the same as when it was new. It took months for them to send someone to clean my mattress, and it was only after my persistence that they sent someone to clean it. There was never an apology by the moving team, and if I hadn't witnessed it and taken pictures of my furniture prior to the move, I'm not sure that they would have owned up to it. Would I get them to move me again? Would I recommend them? Only if you're prepared to supervise their staff, which was what Ken was supposed to be doing. I've had worse movers in my life, but these are some of the reasons for the missing 2 stars.

I was very happy with the moving professionals at Shortline. From the first phone call to the last box being moved in it was a very good experience. The movers, Nick Bird, Mac and Randy were extremely efficient, careful and quick as well as respectful. I moved from out of town and it was a long long day for the guys but they were always cheerful. The price is competitive and true to the estimate. Truly the best moving company that I have used. I highly recommend them
