Today I left the pharmacy at this Shoppers Drug Mart location in tears. This is the second time I have left this way. Usually everyone behind the counter is very friendly, caring, and helpful. This is my second time the pharmacists (East Indian woman) has brought me to tears when giving me instructions on how to administer my sons medication. I am a single mom, that works hard, and am pursuing a nursing degree at the same time. I have my son full time, and he is chronically ill throughout the winter, and is too young to have surgery to make any improvements on his health right now. This week is exam week, I have been at home with my very sick child, trying to study and take care of him, and find others to help watch him while I write exams as my son is not able to go to daycare. On top of this I myself got sick from my son and am also on antibiotics. When the pharmacist was trying to go over the instructions with me this morning, my son was trying to walk away from me, he was acting as a typical two year old. I was having trouble hearing the pharmacist, so I continued to ask questions for clarification. I am sure she could see what I was dealing with on the other side. Instead of being empathetic and taking the extra time to speak to me once I was able to get my son under control, she instead continued to just speak at me condescendingly, as if I was "stupid" for asking the same question a couple of times over, even after I said I was sorry I could not hear her. She would just say "Yes, that is what I just said" in a harsh manner more than once, giving me dirty looks and just trying to get me out of there. I still was not okay with that response as I wanted more clarification but didn't feel comfortable asking her to explain as she was going to continue to treat me the way she already had been. Making me feel as though I was incompetent, as she belittled me so she could just rush off and continue to do her job. My son was given a steroid, I wanted clear instructions, to the point where I feel safe giving him the medication. That I did not get, she told me to just read the instructions that were in the bag with the medications. This is the second time she has treated me this way when getting medications for my son. I don't deserve to be treated in a manner that makes me feel incompetent, or "stupid" because I am asking for clarification with medication I am giving to a 2 year old. I, of all people know it's easy to become irritated when working with the public, when managing a busy business, as I had a similar role for 9 years previously, in a different industry that was more high stress. So I am not "Stupid", or incompetent, I am a overtired, sick, single mother trying to raise my son who is chronically ill and just get through each day. I think that there needs to be some sort of sensitivity re-training for this pharmacist, as she has lost sight in what the meaning of Customer Service is. All I ask is that she speak to everyone with respect and dignity and maybe she needs to be reminded that everyone is going through something and she may not always know the severity of the situation. She should think about that before treating anyone in the manner as she has treated me now twice.

The woman who is frequently on cash is an older lady with grey shoulder length hair. She’s constantly unpleasant, overly nosy, and rude. This is the most convenient store for me to stop at and I’m going to start driving to another store from now on. Most of the time I arrive to an empty register, or, if it’s night time, she’ll be talking on her cell phone. She specifically makes my trips twice as long as they need to be. And for her to not even be pleasant... like come on. Each time I go to this location and see it’s her, I purposely use self checkout or leave all together.

Management clearly cares more about profit than their customers. Only been to this shoppers twice and both times was a lineup to cash out at their one only live cashier (who is pleasant btw) This cashier is working hard to cash people out.. on very insufficient space. A whole cart load and can only put a few things up at a time. When will the "powers that be" figure out what proper customer service means and when will you have some respect for your employees and give them the equipment required to do a more efficient job. I suspect you've done nothing in that regard because the end goal is to eliminate your only live cashier as you have others with self-checkout. That day will be my last day shopping there.

I come to this shoppers often and on more than one occasion I have been helped by the most wonderful and considerate lady I have ever met in a retail store. Her name is Molly and she always goes above and beyond my expectation for customer service. If I had my own business I would offer her a top notch salary to work for me. She is amazing and this location is lucky to have her.

As you enter the store there is a sign telling everyone to properly where their masks, fine. On this date and a previous visit there is a large older blondish employee that is in the pharmacy that keeps pulling down her mask below her nose, she is serving the public today at the drop-off counter and busy walking around amongst the employees behind the counter. So, a company thats reason for being is promoting health and wellness is fine with a potential Omicron typhoid Mary type endangers their employees and not so valued customers. I await the reply of crocodile concern and faux commitment. One more HUGE issue, these Loblaws/Shopper's Drug Mart pirates are price gouging on charging $40 per Covid rapid test. Ontario government was after people selling packs of 5 tests they got free for up to $200 online. Makes Dave Nichols to be just as much a [fill in blank] as these others.

This pharmacy is an overweight Karenpocolypse. You NEED help.. don't go here. The people at almost every other shoppers in the area are far kinder, more professional, understanding, helpful and not horrid. The despicable Karen at the counter spoke to me like I was some useless peice of trash wouldn't even consider what I was saying. Could care less what my issue was as long as it didn't ruin her third muffin of the morning. What a terrible place filled with terrible people.

I am giving the store an overall 2 star review as I really do enjoy shopping at shoppers drug mart, especially this plaza as it is so close to where I reside. However, every time my husband and I go into this shoppers during the day, the older lady (Gloria ) who works at the front counter has followed us around the store, which is fine, I understand she is just doing her job and I have let it go multiple times. Today, I could not let it go anymore. My husband and I were shopping for separate items, him food, me beauty so we grabbed separate baskets as they can get heavy and its just faster for us. As we were checking out ( self checkout ) I put the things I was buying into his basket as he was scanning the items and put my basket away. I stood there waiting for him as Gloria stood less than a foot away from me ( she has done this before, but I ignored her ) then she says " Excuse me you didn't pay for anything " I explained that I had put my stuff in my husbands basket and he is paying for it. ( at this point he was in the middle of paying ) he also explained that I was with him. He had said under his breath " I am in the middle of paying right now " and she said " EXCUSE ME " I tried to de escalate the situation by saying "he didn't say anything to you " but instead of letting it go she continued on saying " If youre not happy with the service dont come back, we dont need your service ect " I, completely upset and gobsmacked by her attitude and unprofessionalism responded " Well when you accuse someone of stealing " and before I could finish she said " I didn't accuse you of stealing " .... saying I hadn't paid for anything is accusing me of stealing?!? She was rude, unprofessional and had an attitude problem. Keep in mind I have been going to this shoppers for over a year and every single time I enter this shoppers she has followed me around, making me feel as uncomfortable as possible. I completely avoid using the cash register when she is working and sometimes avoid going in during the day as I know she works days. I she does this to you reach out to the customer service number. The lady I spoke to was so understanding and even more gobsmacked by the situation.
