As a customer and former Shoppers staffer, best customer service ever from Singh (?) at the front cash on a Sunday afternoon. He went out of his way to be courteous and helpful and not an easy feat to always interact with the public while juggling a line-up and other issues.

I've been going to this pharmacy for years and the staff have always been nice. The manager doesn't work as often but I got my flu shot from her and she easily recognized my face, if not my name They've always been good with trying to get my insurance to work but most of the time I've had to pay out of pocket was a technical issue or because my insurance was being a pain; it's never been a staff issue

If I could give this no stars I would. We live in the area and would rather travel the 10 minutes to the kingsway/metro town shoppers drug mart as the security guards make it so uncomfortable for my family and I to shop at this location. We are indigenous and feel very singled out when we come here - the security guards follow us around, watch our every move despite other shoppers coming in and out and they do not worry about them. We give no indications or worrisome character that we are there to "steal" something. This is a reoccurring experience as we have given this store 3 chances in hopes it was just the one instance but it happened over and over. When confronted the security guards state "it's just my job" but when I bring up why they aren't singling out and doing this to other patrons and following them up and down aisles like they are to us, they get flustered and walk away, keep their distance for about 5 minuted and continue doing it again. Being indigenous, I am very aware of when I am being followed and singled out as sadly, discrimination still exists and it happens often... do better.

Selection of products is pretty good. Pharmacy is good. Don’t expect cashiers, they put traumatically more effort into self check out… Edit: April 2022 Same thing each time I go. No cashier so people are forced to use self checkout and if you want lottery tickets or need staff to assist. Go to a different store.

This is the nicest Shoppers Drug Mart ever! It’s a flagship store. Very large store and lots of variety. Very nice staff and if you the app you can order your prescription through the app and then pick it up a couple days later or have it delivered. The location also is built into a complex with a huge liquor store and a Whole Foods so it’s a great one stop location. Parking available on Lougheed or underground dedicated parkade.

I wanted to return a charging cable, unused in the original box, bought the day before with the original receipt. They immediately refused the return, saying they don't return electronics, no exceptions. I pointed out there was no sign, no warning, and nothing on the receipt that indicated that. I said it was untouched and in perfect condition, you can test it even. Even so, what if you bought something and it was defective? They said it was on the shopper's website that they don't accept electronics returns. So I'm supposed to check the website before I buy anything? It actually says they do on the website, with the original receipt, in the original packaging. I don't why they were so rude about this, it's not like it comes out of their pockets. I used to shop here all the time, but now I don't want to go back in.

Such a frustrating pharmacy! The staff constantly seem overwhelmed and unable to help anyone promptly or correctly. I am totally done with this store but here were some of my woes: 1. Pharmacy assistant improperly filled one of my tablet prescriptions with 30 mg instead of 5 mg. She frantically called me in the parking lot to fix the problem, for which I had to wait an extra 30 minutes. 2. Prescriptions are filled by the promised time in approximately half the cases. I have been made to wait 15-30 minutes extra in several instances, even though the pharmacy stated the medications would be ready at the time I arrived. 3. Even if the medication is ready, it is common to wait in a long line, or deal with an assistant that has difficulty locating the medication behind the counter. 4. Was misquoted the drug cost on my last fill. They added an extra $100 to the cost without discussion with me, because apparently a case could not be split. I would have taken one less case had I known the situation, but I was never told. I found a hand written note on the package later stating what happened. 5. I had a letter stating proof of extended medical coverage, but the assistant refused to enter the information and try and get my discount, stating that she needed a card and that a number was missing. My wife later told me that the insurance representative stated the information on the letter should have been sufficient to receive coverage. 6. Told the assistant on the phone that I wanted my tax receipt for the previous year. She said they wouldn’t print it and have it ready, but I could request one with a valid ID in the store. When I went to the store, the assistant helping me had no idea what I was talking about, stating that my receipt for the medication I just picked up was in the bag. I had to explain what I wanted, and even then she had no clue. Eventually she got someone from the back to help her. 7. Delayed topical prescription fill due to completely baseless side effect concern, which I later confirmed with my doctor. They insisted on discussing it with my doctor before they filled it, which I agreed to. They later filled the prescription twice by accident. Ultimately these people are nice, but just do not have the capacity to show respect for your time or money. Surely a pharmacy can do better.

all clean here. staff are a bit over whelmed that's why there's less organized management here. but products are still good and sealed. similar to other shoppers.
