Anyone else realize when you do your prescription refill over the phone, it takes 48 HOURS for them to fill it?? It’d be nice if their voicemail told customers that. I’ve been very dissatisfied with the service of the pharmacy staff lately. I will be switching pharmacies

Worst pharmacy experience. Went in to ask some simple questions to the pharmacist. The younger women pharmacist with dark hair that I was talking to was so rude to me. I asked a simple question and all I got was attitude. If you are dealing with customers you should be a personable person. Just because you may be having a bad day yourself does not mean you need to take it out on someone who did not deserve it.

Don’t waste your time trying to call this location or any other shoppers pharmacy. After getting past the automated questions the phone starts to ring like the call is going through and then the voice goes one moment please and the radio comes back on. After 30 minutes of ringing and one moment please and ringing and one moment please the call will hang up on you. You’d think during covid times it would be easier to contact people by phone but apparently shopping would rather you risk your safety and come to the store location is you have any inquiries. I don’t know why they bother having a phone system at all. I was hung up on 3 times before it let me get through

Kudos to Carol, Pharmacist who gave my 8 year old her Covid shot. My child is terrified by the very sight of needles and Carol was able to administer the vaccine without a scream from. my daughter.

After reading some of the reviews I have decided to share an experience I had two months ago. I arrived just after 9:00 am on a Saturday morning. There was a younger woman named Kate (or Katie) on the phone in the pharmacy. She seemed to be the only one there. I stood at the counter for approximately 5 minutes. She did not acknowledge my presence in any manner. I thought perhaps the pharmacy didn’t open until 9:30 so I looked around the store for a while and returned to the pharmacy. Again I was ignored. After a few minutes I asked her when the pharmacy opened. She snapped at me β€œit opens at 9:00, I was on the phone”. What a rude lady! I tried to call the manager at the time and once later that week. He wasn’t in either time and I’d forgotten about the experience until reading some of the other reviews. In fairness this was my only bad experience at this location. I dealt with the pharmacy team at Park Street for many years and never had a bad experience. I just recently switched over to Vic Square.

Having an incredibly difficult time getting through by phone. In December I’d called and took about 10 minutes to answer their phone. The northgate location, you don’t wait longer than 30 seconds for the phone to ring before someone answers. Got through after 25 minutes, then the person on the phone was short and rude and spoke quickly so I had to ask again what they had said.

My experience today was very, very disappointing. I picked up my prescription without waiting. The staff are always friendly and eager to please. HOWEVER… I decided to purchase some other items including $40.00 worth of beauty products and groceries. The staff at the front encourage their customers to use the self checkout at the front of the store. I like the self checkout because it’s normally faster than lining up at a cashier and the system is simple to use once you know how. As I was making my way over to the self checkout, a cashier opened her station to accommodate a customer. I rang through my items but there were 2 items with $2.00 off coupons. The red and white stickers the store uses to reduce items. I rang through the first discounted item and it came through at regular price. From past experience, all I needed to do was select cashier assistance and somebody would be over right away. A staff member came over but wasn’t familiar with putting discounted items through the self checkout. As I was calling for assistance, another lady lined up behind the first at the cashier. The staff member politely interrupted the cashier so I knew she was aware of small issue. My light was flashing and I waited patiently. Then another customer went to the cashier. She was almost finished with the second but behind the third customer, a fair size line up was beginning. The cashier then rang through the third customer, then the next, then the next…another cashier, the gentleman that first came to help me, opened up and the line split up. The first cashier helped the second open his station. She explained something to the second cashier. After she finished explaining, she headed back over to her station. The second cashier tried to get her attention so she would help me. She ignored him. I cancelled my entire transaction, left all my items at the self checkout except my prescription and walked out. I was so frustrated and upset that I was not considered as being β€œin line”. I really have no words and from now on, I’ll leave my grocery and beauty product shopping for the other businesses.

Have always had a great experience dealing with this pharmacy. All of the pharmacy staff are a dream to deal with. This morning I went in to pick up prescriptions and The owner/pharmacist, Spiro went above and beyond to assure me that despite my claustrophobia, I would be ok during my MRI. He gave me tips on how to calm myself before hand and was very compassionate when I was addressing my concerns. Thank you Spiro, your kindness and empathy for your customers does not go unnoticed. If I could give 100 star review I would.
