Shoppers Drug Mart

The staff and security are absolutely savage and I will never shop at this location EVER again. I went in today to buy cologne for my husband. Immediately when I walked into the store both women starred me down and watched me walk all the way to where it was. Once I took it from the shelf I started walking to the makeup section to buy concealer but I couldn’t even make it half way down the aisle before the security guard literally came RUNNING down to me and grabbed the cologne right out of my hands. He then proceded to act like it was a policy to hold it until I was done shopping. I get there is theft, especially in big cities and I understand staff being alert and I get keeping a product at the counter for safe keeping until purchased. But to literally run after someone and GRAB an item from my hand is completely unacceptable. He didn’t say anything about keeping it at the counter until after he had grabbed it from me. I was completely startled. He needs a lesson in the differences between doing his job as security and borderline assault. It’s not like I was hiding it or trying to put it somewhere to steal I just had it in my hand as I was walking. BRUTAL HUMAN INTERACTION.

Barbaric staff behavior that I have witnessed first then was subjected to for pointing it out. The staff humiliated a black gentleman for opening a bottle of juice before paying for it. That man was standing in line to check out. The staff was ganging up on the guy from every direction, yelling and humiliating him. They just won't let it go. I approached the staff and asked them to back off and let him pay for the item, be respectful of the guy, he is a dad. I told the staff this is not necessary, they are escalating the situation. I have told them I have done that before but was never spoken to or humiliated like that because I am wearing a suite and I am not shopping while I am black. At the moment the same male staff who was aggressive to the black guy walked up to me and started yelling. I walked to the express checkout. I was told I need to lay for the stuff. I said I need to pick up one more thing. The staff was following me, then they kept following me to the express check out. One female staff she stood next to me, made sure I pay for the $3.49 wet wipes and $5 nail trimmer. The aggressive male staff followed me too and was yelling at me while I was paying for the items. I got the receipt and my items. I still had to pickup my prescription drugs from the pharmacy, the female staff asked me to leave, I said I have business here, the staff followed me to the pharmacy, then security was called in and asked me to leave. It's mind blowing, the staff is a group of savages, I asked pharmacist, Dr. Vanessa, after I picked up my prescription to escort me out to avoid conflict with the staff. The security guy was standing next to me while I was talking to the Dr. I asked for space and respect my privacy. Basically, the staff at this Shoppers behave is savages and racist towards black people. I am not black when I stood up to Shoppers racist profiling I was humiliated and verbally attacked they tried to silence me and unlawfully pick me out. Disgusting store the manager should be fired so is those savage staff members. I got picked on and asked to leave the store because I defended a black man who was a victim of racial profiling.

The girl at the prescription counter refused to give me medication which does not need a prescription. When I told her that I have to take this medication because of the condition I have and my doctor is aware, and she first prescribed it for me, she still refused to give it to me. Also asking people about their symptoms out loud when others are around not good way to communicate. Very unprofessional and unkind. She just wasted my time, and I had to go to another pharmacy to get my medication without any extra investigation.

A staff at the prescription counter was so rude. I went buy some prescription drugs after I just got my wisdom teeth removed. I couldn't speak very clearly, and that staff got angry, and yelled at me because it's hard for her to fully understand what I said (even after I wrote down what i wanted to say and showed her). I was in severe pain and tired, I tried to be patient and not yell back to her. After the conversation, she kept showing her anger and yell over the counter to her colleagues to complain about it. Very disappointed, never come back again.

Extremely rude staff. There is a big chance I report their disgusting attitudes next time if they don't learn how to respect people.

Great service! I was just going in to browse this morning and was offered the COVID-19 booster shot by the security at the door. I didn’t need an appointment. The wait was quite short between registering and actually getting the jab.

One of the worst locations I have ever shopped at. I'm moving my business to Rexall cause I am sick and tired of being profiled, harassed, and disrespected. Complaints are a waste of time. A star is more than they deserve.

Yonge and Bloor! the longest street in the world runs past this location in the bottom of the Hudson Bay center which has one stop shopping and the staff has always been helpful plus their new self-checkouts a good selection a pharmacy and more you can depend on this shoppers and even though prices can be high from time to time and shoppers if you want steak you got to pay for steak because there is some good deals just remember your optimum points! So thanks to this team and keep them optimum points handy.. it's like cash back that one's been $350 in shoppers I'm good 20 times the points so I got like $120 back like 33% off everything ?????✌️???????‍♀️?‍♂️
