★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very rustic. Right on Red Horse Lake. Beach access. Access to kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes and anarandak chairs. Great fishing. Cottages have indoor plumbing and window fans. WiFi access. Clear areas for star gazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been visiting Shawmere since I was a baby with my family. This is my favorite vacation. Quaint lakefront cottages with dock access. Great place to get off the grid and truly relax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cosy out of the main stream cottages. Very reasonable and maintained well. Docks are newer and well maintained, some with electric most not. Easy access to battery charger station. Fishing is excellent and access to to two other lakes. Chuck is always available to his customer s and handles problems personally with wait time. Gas, ice, boat& motor, fishing license and more available on site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best places to just kick back and relax. Chuck is great and takes pride in his little slice of paradise. The cottages are cozy, clean, and well taken care of, even in the early off-season when we visit.
Red Horse Lake is excellent as well; not to built up with some top-notch fishing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always a pleasant stay. Accommodations are nice for a cabin at a fishing resort. All cabins I've been in are clean, well kept and well stocked with needed kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, etc. Beds are fine with plenty of blankets. Grounds are well maintained. Docks on good condition with electric utilities on dock for recharging trolling batteries. On site fuel and ice. Most important is that the staff couldn't be more accommodating! We've been going twice each year for many years!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been coming to red horse since 1992, Is my entire family loves this place, Chuck has done a great job over the years taking care of the cabins and docks, I look forward to next year.
I hope they can make the minor improvements when things start getting back to normal.
