Staff was great and river was awesome down fall paying as much as you do you would think that the sights would be better as it feels like your sitting on top of your neighbors sight no privacy. When sitting out of your trailer and the wind kicks up u smells the dummping system / septic filed that have in place also the price of wood 13 per bag and the bags very in size

Our favorite weekend escape campground. 25 min. from South Calgary. Staff is very friendly. Sites are big enough. Wish they had another bathroom / shower building but they are running on a septic system, so that's why the limitation. The bent sheep river is fantastic. Floaters are a must to bring.

A great little campsite. Yes it is a little close for the tenters (of which we were one) but the location of the sensational beach and river definitely balances it out. The staff are friendly and helpful and if you just want a nice, quick escape this is a great place. Additional privacy or distance from our site to the others would have made it a 5 star -

I've been camping for about 25 years and I've finally found it...the worst campsite in AB! Do you want to relax in your trailer on a hot day and read a book with the A/C on...don't come here. Is it a little cool and you want to have a fire and visit friends....don't do that here unless you sit in silence. We stayed this last weekend after booking online a few weeks ago. You can't pick your site, only request proximity to friends sites. We got there and they had us split up across 2 sets of roads. Why not just tell us that when you took our money? First night there, we had the pleasure of dealing with a "security guard" at 3 different points in a 40 minute time period. "quiet time", and I use that term loosely, is policed by some dude with a headlamp that I am sure has hearing problems. He barged into our site all 3 times demanding we stop talking and turn down our music. Fun fact...it was the site a road over. We didn't have music. Maybe he was wanting us to pass along the message to the louder crew for him. Next night, there was a legit party down the way. Our "friendly" neighborhood guard must have forgotten his hearing aid that night and didn't once let them know of the rules we had been so rudely taught 24 hours earlier. I can promise I will never recommend this place to anyone...ever. It is a dump pure and simple. It is extremely unkept, dirty, loud and the sites with service are shared with other sites. It was weird to have to go to my neighbors site to plug in 50ft away. Our friends site sided up to 3 other smaller sites. They could wake up in the morning go out there door, take 5 steps forward and be standing on the other sites poop pipes. This place is a conundrum wrapped in an enigma. Either people have become a whole lot less picky, or covid have scrambled their brains, it is the only explanation as to how this has any positive reviews at all.

Been here a few times and won't be back. The campground itself is unkempt and not well maintained. There's a boarded up building on the property next to the bathrooms...which are probably the most disgusting bathrooms I've ever seen in a campground. They claim to clean them hourly with a deep clean done every 4 hours ?? ?. Make sure you have 100% of everything you need for your trip prior to arriving as the convenience store on site barely has anything in it. I made the mistake of assuming they'd have something as essential as a case of water....nope. The "security" guard is completely unprofessional and has zero people skills. Dont come here. There's plenty of other campgrounds nearby that are cheaper and better maintained than this one. The owners should be embarrassed and ashamed.

Kind of ghetto. The spots are too close together and not well kept. We booked for 3 days but left after 2 because our neighbors were so damn noisy well past quiet time and well before it ended, and since the spots are close together with no privacy it made it that much worse. The only good thing about this place is the bathrooms are well kept, and the river access is nice, but that alone isnt enough to bring us back.

I don't understand why this place has a 5 star rating. The experience was abhorrent. The service was abhorrent. The site was not at all what was expected. In fact there really wasn't a site, it was the area where the kids play, we only stayed for 2 hours before we decided that no this was not a doable place, it was incredibly unsafe. The unsupervised kids who attempt to bully 3 kids under 8 in front of their parents. When we approached the campground we were greeted by a very snappy woman who was very rude in her tone and demeanor. To then go inside to be treated even less like a human being. The toilets are absolutely disgusting , and the cleaning sheet is clearly a lie. The entire thing was a sham, and you feel like a prisoner in someone's backyard. The micromanaging is insane, there is ZERO privacy, there is all these rules but they only enforce certain ones. The wood is at least double the price of any where else, and you have to pay for a friend to visit your site after already paying to camp. It's a poorly managed money making scheme, not a family friendly campground. Would never recommend to anyone.

Let me start off by saying the views and location are absolutely beautiful! The clear blue river and the tall banks are amazing. Great for wading in the water. The campground on the other hand was not well kept.... The roads are filled with potholes, there looks to be some major construction in the first few sites. Some large machinery was parked there..... None of the spots had any privacy. ESPECIALY the tenting spots..... We were 5 feet from both our neighbors tents, there are also zero trees at the tenting campsites. We were a few steps from the river tho which was nice. The old trailers that the bathrooms are in are very run down and the ground is uneven! The pricing was steep for what you got. A one night stay for myself and three friends at a tenting site was $70! We walked on a trial in the evening to the front barrier wall of the campground and found a huge metal cradle looking thing filled with old garbage. There was also lots of litter and overflowing garbage outside the entrance of the campground by the river... The river views were amazing but this campground is over priced for how run down and the lack of privacy....
