★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A one star rating is generous. After knee replacement surgery my 56 year old husband was referred to SE Health by Mackenzie Health for ten sessions covered by OHIP. He didn't bother attending the last two because his surgeon expressed 'disappointment' with his progress and we decided to go elsewhere. The differences between SE Health and Pinnacle Health Sciences Centre are staggering. Suggestions made by SE Health for at-home exercising and care were counterintuitive to his progress, actually they may have inhibited his rehabilitation. Although the physiotherapist himself was likeable, direction seems to be lacking from supervisors and management. Do NOT follow the advise of Mackenzie Health and use this centre.
Although we appreciated concerned response (see below) to this review, we sent you contact information and have yet to hear from anyone.
Two weeks have passed and there has been no active investigation aside from a telephone call inquiring about whether or not my husband would be returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended Saint Elizabeth Rehab for hand therapy.. The therapist treatments were fine and I was given home exercises. I had decided to speak to my therapist and probably cease treatments after my 12th visit.
I had an appointment for an assessment on my 13th visit and when I attended at the office I was told my appointment had been cancelled as I had used up all the time allowed under OHIP. My therapist was well aware that after using the 12 appointments allowed, I had intended to pay through my private insurance.
No one called to advise that my appointment had been cancelled and I only found out after driving 40 minutes from Markham to Richmond Hill. A complete waste of time. This Rehab facility did not give me the courtesy of a telephone call
For this reason I would not recommend this facility.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I picked Saint Elizabeth Rehab Health because of the proximity to where I live. The first appointment was in a week. On my first visit, I waited about 20 minutes after registration to be seen by a staff member.
After a brief review I was given some printed material for home exercise. And an appointment was made for the following week. A day before the second appointment, I was called to have it cancelled and another appointment was made for the following week. A day before the scheduled second appointment, I was again called to have the appointment cancelled, and for another one scheduled for the next week. A day before the third appointment, what do you know? Another call for cancelation.
I find this totally unacceptable, that any Health establishment could be in such disarray and chaos. And that patients who needed rehab asap is deprived of the help they need because of poor management. I will certainly not be going back.
