They don't return calls for weeks, don't know how to set out of office replies and have no idea what customer service is. They have very low attention to detail, make mistakes that will cost you money and take no ownership of anything. Escalation to the branch manager did not help. If you have to deal with this branch get absolutely everything in writing, and be prepared to be amazed at how bad they can be.

What was supposed to take 2-3 weeks ended up taking 5 and a half MONTHS! It wasn't until I got hold of a manager in Toronto with the estate department that anything got done. This was after months of calling and leaving numerous messages that were never returned. The person I dealt with at the local branch always returned calls but at times the estate department wouldn't even give her answers. I would put my money in a can and bury it in the yard before I'd ever entrust Scotiabank with it!

Their customer service sucks, every time I come to this branch everyone is completely incompetent and can never help me. I went in to open a business account and they basically told me they couldn't help me and referred me to another branch... Instead I went across the street and opened a business account with ATB and had a very pleasant experience.

As usual we left with more problems the woman at customer service set the new card up incorrectly. Is this Branch seriously this obtuse? They forced me to come in because my daughter's account is linked to mine and sent me home without relinking up the new card.
T	Taylormade1383 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow! First of all if every time you call you are told “we are expecting higher than normal call volumes” that should be the new normal. Had a simple question about my personal banking that the toll free line couldn’t answer. Tried the extensions given multiple times and then called the branch direct. Waited on hold for over 20 minutes and spoke to someone who had to transfer me. I was then transferred back to a voicemail. If “you’re richer than you think” how would you ever know?

I've mentioned this to them numerous times. Can't wait until I'm done with this bank. TERRIBLE customer service. Hard to take especially when it was in the news today they had record profits due to bank fees.
