I arrived for an appointment five minutes early, and clearly everyone in the branch was on a break. I could hear my advisor, along with others, laughing and bad-mouthing clients 2 feet from where I was sitting. It was all very unprofessional, and not a good feeling when I am attending this meeting for a very serious matter. This went on until several minutes after my meeting was meant to start when they finally finished their conversation.

I have been a Scotiabank customer for 30 years. Today held for 15 minutes just to get contact info for someone at my branch, which they wouldn't give to me. Then I was transferred to the wrong number. I will be leaving Scotia and looking for a new bank. The worst customer service I have ever had, despite the fact that they have collected thousands of dollars in interest from me during my 3 house purchases.

It’s impossible to reach anyone by phone and you get redirected to their customer service Center where you remain on hold for 45 minutes before you get a live person and if they need to transfer you,you have to wait on hold for an additional 45 minutes. This is extremely frustrating. Bad customer service ????

Worst costumer service I have received! The branch assistant manager, Satinder Minhas, is extremely rude, unprofessional, and lacks basic costumer service skills and manners. She also lacks knowledge of basic and simple bank procedures, which makes me wonder how she got that job in the first place.

We sent an email with high importance including signed documents for an RSP home buyers plan withdrawal to Scotiabank on March 8th. We were very surprised to only receive an email response on May 13th, almost 1.5 months AFTER we already purchased and moved into our home. We did get the withdrawal processed in March, but only because we messaged a personal contact on Facebook and she got us in touch with an advisor ASAP. We are very disappointed with Scotia’s processes and customer service.

I wish I could rate the experience lower than 1 star. Awful experience from a rep at this location. Asking for information multiple times, unable to locate the SIN on a T4, unable to assess that hours in each month can still vary slightly even if full time if there are stat holidays or vacation/sick days in that month and most of all, pulling credit without me providing consent to it yet, NEVER heard of anyone having had 3 HARD credit checks done in 1 month's time for the mortgage of same property. Super unprofessional and unapologetic about their awful customer service (even if we can call it that)
