About Active Podiatry & Orthotics
After completing my university, I decided to pursue further education and training in Podiatric Medicine. I have worked in various different settings including community care, private practices, hospital and nursing homes. My special interests include human anatomy, biomechanical issues such as flat feet, pediatrics, and congenital foot conditions. My career is my calling and I am constantly trying to improve my clinic knowledge and skills. For Saskatoon and area, our clinic is the only facility offering all advanced treatments and modern equipment to treat foot and ankle ailments. If you suffer from foot pain or know someone who does, we will be excited to help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Before being referred here I was having wicked lower back pain for years. The muscle right above my tailbone would seize up regularly, and eventually the pain spread to my hips and knees. I ultimately ended up with a pinched nerve in my hip and chronic inflammation around several discs.
My massage therapist told me I wasn't dealing with a slipped disc yet, but if I didn't figure this out I would be. She called in a physiotherapist who, to my surprise, said all my problems were because I was walking wrong.
I was referred to Active Podiatry and the doctors I saw were wonderful, got me fitted for the orthotics quickly and man - the difference is night and day! My back no longer has chronic pain, no more disc inflammation and my retail work doesn't leave me hurting at the end of every day.
I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking podiatry services.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here 2x, the 2nd visit I was told I have 2 option with my left foot problem either have this special shoes and have like electric shock. I try ed to have 1 session of this electric thing it was done less than 5 minutes for 80$ no help at all I paid for 80$ & 20$ stated follow up. I talk to the receptionist to email me the quote and and prescription for the special shoes to submit to my insurance, never receive one despite confirming my email. Try many times to talk to them no one answer. What a waste of time seeing this Dr. Main!!!! I suggest don’t come with this clinic!!! Just want ur money.

Dr. Main is amazing, kind and caring. He took the time to explain the whole procedure step by step. The clinic is very professional.
There was never a doubt that I was in good hands. I highly recommend Active Podiatry & Orthotics.

Dr. Main diagnosed bursitis in my toe (I didn't know that was a thing) and the laser treatments did the trick! I am back to wearing my high heels!
Dr. Main also recently treated my 11-year-old daughter for her chronic ingrown toenails and did nail surgery. He was absolutely great with explaining the process to her so that she felt comfortable and had a great bedside manner with her that put her right at ease.
Throughout all of my dealings with the clinic, I have found them to be kind, personable, and welcoming. It feels like coming to visit friends who are helping with your feet! They greet you by name when you come in and put you completely at ease throughout all of your visits.
If you've been waffling about making an appointment, you should take this as a sign to do it! Foot problems are terrible, but this clinic is fantastic!
