Hauck Podiatry Prof. Corp. - Saskatoon

He is the best in the city. I wish I knew about him 25 years ago.

Good service, nice manner, knows his stuff. Prices are reasonable. (I don't think i've ever given out a 5 star to anybody)

I can not speak of Dr. Hauck himself as I never met him. What I can say concerns me, is that until recently there was another doctor practicing in that office with him. That is the doctor I saw whilst they were still at the same location. Dr. Laura Desjardins, having temporarily replaced Dr. Roche was my initial appointment. While being measured for orthotics I asked her why she chose podiatry as her career. Her answer was that the money was good. Hmmm...not comforting to a patient. However that was not the main issue. The follow up visit was with Dr. Roche herself, who had to repair the orthotic from separating with the leather top piece. That worked for a time but has again had the same result, now in 4 different places. This is when the main concern for me happened. I called to set up another appointment but was told that I would be charged for the visit because Dr. Roche was no longer there and would not see me without being charged and that because Hauck's office is where I went that they should honour the 6 month guarantee for the visit and that perhaps I should call Dr. Hauck to help me as this is the location I went to originally. I then called Dr. Hauck's office and told them what Roche's office said and they said that was wrong and that there would be a charge if I was to go to them too. There is very definitely something that has happened between these two doctors that is less that amiable and I have managed to find myself in the midst of it. The impression I have been left with by both offices is the complete lack of professionalism combined with two assistants that were both rude and offered little by way of a solution for several days. They finally got back to me after an unreturned call and offered to see me if I would sign over a waiver for my chart to be sent to Roche's office or from Hauck's office that I could see him free of charge if I fell within the 6 month guarantee of the orthotics. The problem is that I fall within the 6 months from the time I had the first repair done and they have said that it needs to be from the date I received the orthotics. Buyer beware. These two representatives of these two doctors have been unprofessional and rude. I can not say whether or not the doctor's themselves were aware of all of this but if they were, they really need to revisit the attention to professional problem solving and stay clear of a public p!$$ing contest. If they weren't aware they need to evaluate who they allow to represent them. I won't go to either of them again. I will repair the costly orthotics myself and choose someone else later for getting new ones the next time they are needed.

The receptionist didn't even call me to say she had cancelled my appointment and put someone else in there. I am having surgery on my toe and had questions. Now I can't even talk to him. Time to make a change.
