★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't get a mortgage here. For 5 years, I had absolutely no delayed or missed payments, for neither the mortgage nor the credit card. I also have a perfect credit history. Therefore, I was expecting that renewing my mortgage will be a piece of cake, that Scotia will give me upfront the best rate on the market, but this never happened. They kept trying to push me to sign for a rate 0.5% higher than the market rate, even though I was showing them the competitor’s offer with significantly lower rate. So unprofessional and rude. Do yourself a favor and do business with a bank that actually value their customers.
