I went to close my account today some teller said I Need to pay $16 fee because I'm closing the account because we already started the month which don't make sense and anther teller said I only need to pay $12 so I paid and closed my account and now I'm happy I broke the chains of a greedy money hungry corporation and feels awesome ??

This is the worst bank in Canada. Specially telephone banking is very worst not helpful ,rude, no knowledge at all .repeating the same thing again and again. too much waiting time after holding an hour ,agent disconnect the phone abruptly that is the most stressful part.so I closed the A/C.I hate this type of service.

Highly incompetent staff, did not even try to help out. It is possible that they might me simply missing key training and development opportunities with in their roles, especially for the tellers. It’s not just this branch, it’s most of their branches, where their tellers are extremely rude.

I’m not surprised this location has only an average of 1.9 stars. Before my appointment I saw two people leave angry and now I’m a third all before 10:30am. All I want is to go paperless for my RESP. It’s the only account I have for the last 12 years and they send my huge quarterly packages that’s are 15-20 pages long that are useless to me 4 times a year for the past 12 years. Horrible for the environment. I’ve asked 2 times prior to go paperless in the last 2 years and the clerks upfront said they switched me to paperless and they never really did. So now I’m at an appointment with a broker or whatever she is and of course she tried to force me to make an account to be able to go paperless and I refused so now I’ve been waiting 20 minutes for her to cancel the RESP. IM NOT GETTING TRICKED INTO AN ACCOUNT OVER A PAPERLESS ISSUE. They should speak with IT and management and have it fixed that non debit account holders can have the option of paperless too. This is why I have never had an account with Scotiabank and only this registered education savings plan which I could care less if I have or not. Please do your business with anyone else BUT these guys.
