Terrible customer service. I went in for a name change with all the documentation and identification and 3 weeks later it still wasn't done. This took minutes at RBC and everywhere else. The teller also took ridiculously long and didn't seem to know what she was doing. I wanted new credit cards issued in my married name and was told it would take 5 to 10 working days for the change to take effect and then I would have to call the card center to order new cards. Again, I did it all in 5 minutes at RBC. When I called the card center 5 days later they told me my profile wa still in my old name and that they would contact the branch. 15 days later I still have no cards and no word from anyone so I call the card center again to see if my new cards were en route. Nope, still not done! I was then told it could take up to 4 weeks because I didn't go to my home branch. WHAT?! In the age where everything is done electronically why would I have to go to the branch where I opened my account? My home branch is in another city, I've since moved. And why does communication between two branches take that long? Are they still using a horse and carriage? Ridiculous!Scotia bank is terrible!

Went there today at 3:30 since their website said they were open till 5 pm. It was closed. Note on the door listed their holiday hours....close at 3 on Dec 31. I realize it is new years eve, but they should be able to post holiday hours online. I would have gotten there before 3 if it had been posted on line. If you call the bank you get someone in Toronto (or ??) who tell you they cannot connect you to the branch you are trying to reach. Why is this their policy? I should be able to call the bank directly if I have a question or concern. Very frustrating!

I went it to take out a personal loan and delt with mark green. Fantastic customer service and super honest. Not looking to make money any way he can rather he’s focused on helping the client. Would defiantly recommend!

I’ve never had a worse experience at a bank in my life. After having the most hellish experience twice at this Scotia location, I decided to leave Scotia bank and never, ever return as a customer.

Fraud department keeps shutting down my accounts for no reason. Many hours on the phone, bank visits, re doing accounts, they still keep doing it. They couldn't give me any insight to why except that they "suspected" some "unusual activity". There was no unusual activity and I could verify everything. This has been going on for over a week. No access to view my accounts, use my cards, or withdrawl money. I'm livid. Probably will have to get a lawyer.

My internet connection was cutting in and out but he stayed online with me right until he made sure I could gain access to my account and he answer all of my questions. Apparently one can't post a review below 1 star, so I suppose they get that for being present? I would have been better served by talking to a unrefrigerated jar of mayonnaise. I'm not sure if I've ever had such an unqualified experience, as though Scotiabank brought in actors but forgot to tell them their part. These people had no idea what they were doing, and after several visits I am locked out of my accounts, and have to go in again so we can collectively call their customer support. Unbelievable.
