★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service. I stopped by this branch to purchase a money order. I am not a Scotia client (luckily) and I told them about that. The teller then said that if I pay with cash, they would provide me with a money order. OK, I waited for 10 min in the ABM line (there is only one ABM there), and then came back with cash to get the order. And the same teller told me that they cannot sell me a money order, because I am not their client! That person had no idea how to work properly.
In general, Scotia has been the benchmark of stupidity and incompetence for many years, and every time when I have to deal with them on numerous occasions, they confirm that again and again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Caution to students. Got a credit card while studying at university to help build my credit/basic needs. Needless to say I found out I've been paying for premium protection insurence without my knowledge. Pretty unethical sales practice by scotiabank and overall disappointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attempted to open a credit card. My credit was declined to an error on their system. This i am OK with, its perfectly fine a complete acceptable error.
What did piss me off was the customer service.
Long story short, all I wanted was a credit card. I have one with TD and I really want the scene points. I was denied because of an error on their end. They simply don't care! Instead of taking the time to outline steps, or help the customer. They simply say, "I don't know what to do in this situation", and ask me to leave. Today I get a phone call where this representative from this breach literally started yelling at me, and asked me why I kept coming back. She then later stated, I needed "ask nicely to get what I needed" and then refused to offer me the service.
