★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Markham store -- looking for a specific capacitor (as per sample I showed them), I was told that I could try one that wasn't an exact fit in both size and voltage/match -- upon asking how it would affect my board, was told glibly "Oh, it could burn it out. Just bring it to somebody to get it fixed" -- can't help to wonder if this comment was utter belligerence towards any electronics knowledge (so why are they working in a specialty shop?), or if it was based on the fact that I'm a middle aged woman.
A polite -- sorry, we don't have this one, you can get it from X - would have been all that is needed. But they claimed absolute ignorance when I asked where else I might try to get one.
Left that store shaking my head. What a joke.
