★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brisket poutine was really good with tender brisket, crisp fries and melty cheese curds. Pizza I had with artichokes, olives, mushrooms and ham had a very thin crust so it was a tad soft in the center BUT delicious and freshly fired! Staff could have more attentive and left us feeling dismissed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Update to review: October 2021 went here with a youth. The hostess took our name and number before checking that we had our vax passport and ID. Luckily I asked if our 15 year old needed their ID. They said youth need both vax passport and ID. Not sure if this is true, but definitely not very youth friendly as most youth don't have ID beyond a go card for school MAYBE. This is a government issue but still dropping the star rating because we were going to have to wait 30 minutes then be turned away? I told the hostess we wouldn't be back (as we were from Nanaimo)- but they still called us back. My partner didn't pick up and they called back again so a little communication issues going on it would seem. Definitely if you can't wait in the restaurant though you should check vax cards and ID first. Being from Vancouver with a history of using transit I would have been very upset if we waited half an hour outside in the cold only to be turned away.
Seafood risotto and beef brisket beef dip were both amazing. Great portion we only ate half. Service was prompt and polite. Great atmosphere. Plexiglass between tables.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every time my grandson visits from Vancouver we have the 50/50 Burger with half salad half fries. These burgers are so good we always order them. Hard to branch out but I must say the fry bread is fabulous best I've ever had.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I travelled to Chemainus last weekend and discovered this gem . The staff are so sweet and friendly and the food was generous in portion and very high quality. Everything was very fresh and delicious. We had the pizza and also a burger and salad. What a beautiful little pub, we will be back.

Covid didn't do anyone any favours and I'm glad to be able to drop in for lunch without the passport and mask. I think this is my #1 pizza pick on the island. Just the way I like it. Thin crust. Perfectly browned. And the Della Carne today was on point. Great job.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great appies and food especially the Fry Bread. Oh. My. Word. Sooo good ?. This was our second time visiting the restaurant and we had visited from the mainland. Definitely recommend having lunch or dinner here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is generally consistently good, very large portions if that is important for you. My only complaint, which is fairly minor in the grand scheme of things, is that they do not serve full pints of beer, just sleeves which are not very cold, but still charge you $7.50. But overall great atmosphere, service and of course great food.
