About Save-On-Foods

At Save-On-Foods, going the extra mile is nothing new. Actually, we’ve gone above and beyond in all areas of our business since we started, way back in 1915. Originally, we were called Overwaitea Food Group because of the founder’s practice of selling 18 ounces of tea for the price of 16, and the name “overweight tea” stuck. Fast forward over 100 years and that name has changed, but we’re still known for delivering extra value to our customers. Today our company is best known for its most prominent banner—Save-On-Foods—but also includes PriceSmart Foods, Urban Fare and Bulkley Valley Wholesale.

(He was working the night shift on Nov 23rd) He is a great example for excellent customer service. Twice so far we call to order from the bakery this month. Very accommodating, respectful, helpful, attentive to details and above all pleasant to talk to. And of course, excellent quality desserts, tasty and visually appealing. Keep up the Good work!

When I was placing the order on phone, they gave me a good listening hear. When I went to pay for the cake, the guy that attended to me was the same guy that took my order online, and I had a great experience. I wanted to pick a drink; the guy left where he was at the bakery and followed me to be sure that I made the best choice. They have never disappointed me each time I go there, and I am sure they won't fail you, if you give a try. Though, no human is perfect. ???

K	Kirk Dewhurst on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Save on Foods a great place for groceries, what else are you going to buy here, cars or furniture or big screen tv’s no I don’t think so. I’m betting you can get food here and for a place that sells food well it’s about as good as it gets. The store is clean and well lit. It’s well stocked, everything is upscale so that means the prices are somewhat higher than other stores but the quality is great. If you have a member card then the savings can be great. I like shopping here. The staff are friendly and courteous. You can get flowers. Nice bulk food section. Lots of unique food items.

I have had many terrible experiences from this guy, but the rest of the staff has been very sweet. A few weeks ago, I asked to check for an item and he did, so I asked to put it on hold, and he said it’s on hold for me. He did not ask for my name on the phone, and seemed mad at me for asking to hold an item. I went in store, and the item was not put on hold! So I wasted a long trip for nothing! Then recently, I was inquiring about something and he did not listen to my question at all. He kept giving his irrelevant answers without hearing exactly what I was saying. He seems so done with his job. My friends also say when they inquire about things at the store, he has said things like “we have what we have”. It is very rude. This guy ruins the experience of shopping at this store.
G	Gine Hinrich on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a great conversation with the baker, their bread is very fresh as they bake it everyday. Loved their unsliced bread - it was very nice to have fresh bread. Also liked that I found the hard to find (sometimes) 2% Lactose Free milk. Store looked very clean and well-organized. Some items more expensive than other places, but I always enjoy seeing my needed items on sale + getting points :-)
