At Save-On-Foods, going the extra mile is nothing new. Actually, we’ve gone above and beyond in all areas of our business since we started, way back in 1915. Originally, we were called Overwaitea Food Group because of the founder’s practice of selling 18 ounces of tea for the price of 16, and the name “overweight tea” stuck. Fast forward over 100 years and that name has changed, but we’re still known for delivering extra value to our customers. Today our company is best known for its most prominent banner—Save-On-Foods—but also includes PriceSmart Foods, Urban Fare and Bulkley Valley Wholesale.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Won’t be returning and i highly recommend steering clear of this store. Experienced extremely deli service months ago when i took my elderly mother there. Complained and received and apology. Stopped going for a bit due to the experience.
Returned recently and again had the same rude deli worker. In addition, had a guy from the meat area stare at me, continuously. I asked him what’s up and he asked if i want something. I said he can stop staring at me. To this he threatened to call security. I suggested he call the manager. He seemed overjoyed to do that. I immediately stopped shopping. I left ny food and found my mother. She purchased her goods. Remained at store for about 10 minutes to no manager visiting me.
We left. This is the second rude experience and now being threatened with security. I’m now certainly done with save on and won’t be back to shop with my mom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store is always well stocked, very organized, clean, and the staff r usually very friendly. I had a wonderful and pleasant girl today, Cel, who was also very patient. I had several issues but she helped me out with no problem at all each time. Always nice and very appreciated these days! Only reason 4 stars is prices a little on high side.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Northgate location is far better. Less selection. Seemed like barely any staff. Asked a question about a product and felt like I was bothering them. Saw a very moldy block of cheese clearly visible in case. Just overall not a great visit here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great store. They have lots of international food compared to other big chain grocers. Sometimes a little pricey but the meat is using really good and for a good price. They have deals occasionally on the meat and that's fantastic
