D	Darren Klein on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like this Safeway. Its always looking clean, tidy, everything easy to find. I prefer the layout of this Safeway to any Sobeys. Friendly cashiers who have been there for years.

I do like that the store is often quiet and there usually isn't a line. I only really go here for airmiles now a days - I used to go each weekend. If there isn't an airmiles deal I just get my groceries delivered from instacart from Walmart or Superstore which ends up being much cheaper.
D	David P on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I go to the Safeway at Madison Square on a fairly regular basis to pick-up small items. In general, I find Safeway one of the more expensive grocery chains in Winnipeg. You really pay substantially more compared to stores like Superstore. At Safeway, you pay more for the presentation of things … I’ll admit that, aesthetically, it’s a nicer store so shop in than other cheaper grocery stores. And the staff are generally more helpful, nicer and seem happier to work there. So, I suppose that customer service is a real plus at Safeway. But, all things considered, I find it hard to rationalize paying an additional 20-30% more per grocery bill for the same items when compared to local competitors.

Clean store, helpful clerks, fast checkouts, what more could you ask for? The floral shop also offers good stock, reasonable prices, and exceptional care in packing your purchase for transport home in the cold.

Safeway has the same corp parent and they have similar items in their system. We didn't want to drive across the city to the same store we bought items at (as a family member was not feeling well). The manager listened, checked the system, and told us to make the return at his Safeway, saving us a cross city journey. Kind, professional, and efficient. Thanks a bunch Safeway staff!
S	Stacy Saville on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean, not too busy when I was there. The floors still had directional arrows and most people were following them. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. When I was waiting in line (only 1 register open, self-serve was also open, but I had too many groceries for that option today), a lovely young lady (didn't have on a name badge, sorry) opened another register and took me. I had 4 large bags with me and she was able to expertly pack all my groceries into those bags! She was awesome!
