★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found the service friendly at first, but found that it became less when I had more questions. I chose a fabric and asked what the minimum was and was told half a metre. But they couldn’t cut into the one I wanted so offered a substitute. I asked if it was the same fabric and the man told me to check myself. The service was overall fine but I didn’t find it overly friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I asked for a meter of fabric and he gave me exactly a meter not a millimeter more, the fabric is 100 percent cotton and everyone knows that cotton has to be washed before sewing because it shrinks.
So for that reason any reasonable person/ store owner would cut the fabric more than asked for. It's always been this way and it should always be this way.
As per the owner's reply, I have not discussed this matter with the owner yet and have not been given options but know and have known for years that cotton shrinks so no need to reply by Saying you have notified me about shrinkage because you didn't and you didn't need to.
When a customer askes for a meter of cotton should be provided with a few centimetres more so make up for the shrinkage.
There's no false information in my review.

We ended up finding the exact perfect fabric we needed - thanks to her expert guidance - that they had in their storeroom next door. Make sure to ask them for their samples - they have more than you see in the store itself!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a nice, family run business and my go-to for finding different fabrics. Their selection isn't as good as some of the bigger fabric stores, however, they have a lot and it's great to support a smaller business. The owners are lovely, friendly, and very helpful.
