Saturna Lighthouse Pub

Absolutely great! Delicious food, an excellent drink selection and warm friendly staff. Love the place and what a view.

We had high hopes at this gorgeous location. This place gets 1 star for our service experience. The server was fine bringing our waters, but we waited 20 minutes while trying to catch our server's attention as he slowly walked past us numerous times after helping the large table, and a few other tables. Oddly he never looked our way. I finally went up to the bar to give our order, since our server seemed so preoccupied. The bartender rang up my order. I asked if I should come back in 20 minutes to pick up our food. Bartender said no, he would let our server know, and asked if we were seated on the patio. I said yes, pointed over to the patio, thanked him and left with my beer. About 30 minutes later, the bartender came to our table out on the patio and collected our menus off our table, asking if we were leaving on the next ferry. We confirmed we were, and felt like our order was probably coming up soon. 10 minutes after that, our ferry appeared on the horizon and we started feeling antsy, so walked to the bar to ask about our food. They said they would check on our food and would we want that to go. Given the time, we had to take the to-go option. In the car, we discovered that our meals had come without the accompanying salad and soup. Great location, good tasting food, but very unfortunate service experience.

The Lighthouse Pub is a must visit on Saturna. We always have supper here while we are waiting for the Ferry. If you like Lamb, the Lamb burger is fantastic! The prawns are also a favourite. They also feature Hoyne beers! Make sure this place is part of your trip to Saturna!

The food here is reasonably priced given the remote location. Some dishes such as the burgers were quite good, especially the salmon burger where they give u a big chunk of salmon fillet and not a patty. The chicken wings were so over cooked that they were dry around the bone. Also, the service is on the poor side. Slow and lack attention to details. There were no vegetarian items on the menu and I tried to substitute the burger patty for a vegetarian option. They said it was fine. But when my burger came out it had a veggie patty with bacon on it. I was unable to eat my lunch. Did not want to send it back for a replacement as I already waited 35 min for that one and would have missed my ferry. Would return for a drink at the bar since they have a good alcohol selection but will skip the food.

Amazing view and patio, with child-friendly area & deck too. The menu is fantastic, highlighted by the Lighthouse Burger, which is recommended by 0 out of 10 cardiologists. The beer on tap is Lighthouse Brewing, one of the best local craft brewers. Get the theme?!?

My crew and I were on the Saturna island for a few days to do some work for the owners of the Lighthouse pub last Monday-Wednesday. Being the only pub/restaurant on the island it is where we had our dinner for three nights in a row. Our first night Monday was exceptional. We were greeted by a lovely hostess who did an excellent job! We all had a different bite to eat for dinner and we all agreed that our meals were all delicious. The menu is pretty good for such a small little place. Returning on Tuesday and Wednesday for dinner we were served by a different individual and to say the least he was not very friendly at all, nor was he very good at his job as bartender/ server. I’m not one to complain or rant or even leave a bad review but in this case I must let you all know the truth about Kye NOT Ryan! He seriously needs to reconsider his choice of career in the service industry. He is rude and short/ sharp and not very welcoming at all! Showing his displeasure with our tip amounts on Tuesday. After his terrible service on Wednesday and forgetting an order of our wings to go that a co-worker ordered for 3 nights in a row, then chasing after us out to our vehicle and demanding his tip saying “you’re not going to tip me because I forgot your wings” was the end for me!! We left and returned to our Airbnb for the evening. The next morning we were up very early (5am)to catch the first ferry leaving the island, Only to discover that the two back tires on my coworker’s car that we had taken to the pub the night before had been relieved of their air as well as a scratched deck lid. We have no video footage to prove any of this but it is very suspicious wouldn’t you say? To be chased out by a server on such a small friendly little island and then to have two flat tires the very next morning as well as his deck lid being keyed. A mere coincidence? I think not!! I have absolutely nothing against this establishment or it’s owners and other staff. Christine and her husband are great people. She even brought/ bought us all lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday. But Kye NOT Ryan In my opinion needs to be terminated. I have contacted the manager and will be speaking with her further about this incident tomorrow afternoon. I’m still in shock by this entire experience.

What a wonderful pub! The food is always really good, the service is friendly and quick, lots of seating, great views, and sometimes trivia and live music. It's evident the team and owner really care about this place, their community, and of course their customers.
