The SASH agency profile was developed through the wisdom, commitment and vision of the Board of Directors, and management team of the agency. As once stated by John Galsworthy (n.d), “If you don’t think about the future, you cannot have one.” Through SASHs’ work, integrity and drive to provide the best possible supports for persons with developmental disabilities, an agency profile has been developed that speaks to our dedication of creating a world that not only accepts the abilities of all citizens but champions and environment of community, lifelong learning, development and employment.
SASH is committed to enriching the lives of adults with developmental disabilities through supports and services that:
encourage community connections and social inclusion
promote and encourage employment options and opportunities
provide opportunities for life skills, personal and social development
We envision a future, where together with community, all persons with disabilities achieve their fullest potential.
As SASH builds on its rich history and embarks on a vision for its future, the organization has taken in to consideration the identified Social Trends and Issues, direction of the Provincial Government and the voices of the stakeholders, including the persons served, as key elements in the direction of the supports and services it offers.
