Saravanaa Bhavan

It is one of the excellent dosa places I've been to. A nice experience, recommendable staff, and ambiance felt like India. We ordered a lot and the staff was very cooperative and every dish was yummy(not to forget the chutneys and sambhar). No compromise in taste. We had a great time at Saravanaa bhavan mississauga location , Anna was courteous and a pleasant person who served us, she recommended paneer dosa and it was mind blowingggg!! We also tried the choc dosa my kid loved it, and ofcourse crispy masala dosa was delicious too. We tried the mini idli 14 piece with separateb sambar plate it was full of flavour ! We went a bit late pav bhaji was finished but we will be going back for pav bhaji and rava khichadi! Missed the masala tea we had at scarborough location we were short on time! Overall it was an amazing experience as always. Very nicely managed.

Excellent and authentic taste but the thing that stood out for me was their service. Their chutneys and sambar was tasty and fresh. Definitely recommended.

The food is usually really good but this time when eating one the dishes I bit into a little rock which was I assume in the mustard seed. I chipped my tooth. Not very happy about that. I didn’t finish my meal because of that. It’s too bad I hadn’t been in a long time so I really was looking forward to it. Generally, this place is amazing especially when you sit and it.

Really very tasty food here. Yeah last night i plan to eat dosa, so i went to Saravana bhavan. I heared about this place but i never try. So finally i went there and i order Masala dosa, medhu vada and cheese kara masala dosa. Wow.... first we try medhu vada with chutny and sambar. Totally fresh, crunchy and hot. So tasty when i dip in chutny and sambar its vera level bro.... After that i try masala dosa is taste good same crunchy and fresh served. Masala inside dosa is really amazing taste. I am so happy untill my last bite?. But cheese kara masala dosa totally different from masala dosa. They chutney panner cheese and potato masala i loved that taste. And finally i end with Special Madras Coffee. I am highly recommed this place. You guys want to try here once then u will know. Specially i wona mention her name Miss. Anna. She is so professional in take care customers. She so friendly and quick service. I happy with her service. Thanks Miss. ANNA?

When you decide to go for nice dinner on a weekend, you notice many things that makes your day. For me and my friends; the basic expectation was not met by Mississauga location of Sarvana Bhavan. First, social distancing was not an important factor here while waiting to be seated. I understand sometimes guests are inconsiderate, but as a service facility, management or staff were also ignorant. Second, The lady who took our order was friendly and informative, but once the order was taken there started all the issues where whosoever served us were very insensitive, non-concerned and ignorant. Third, as we placed the order, food arrived. 14 coin idlis and Mehdu vada. For both, the “sambhar” was refrigerator cold. Upon informing the staff, they agreed to replace it with hot sambhar. Which took 25 minutes and our friends who got their dishes, finished half their meal. Fourth, Sambhar was tasteless. Being a franchise, Sambhar and food quality all together not even close to their Scarborough branch. I would never refer this branch to anyone in my circle. Fifth, the ambiance was ok. We were not served water until we asked for when we finished our meals. On top of that, when we asked for water, the lady who took the order did not even care to provide glasses. Upon asking for glasses, we were given 2 glasses between 4 people. Not that the lady who gave us glasses, did not realize that she gave 2 glasses only, but she choose to not give 2 more. Sixth, we ordered mango lassi, upon asking for 3 times we were given our mango lassi that too the sever was not happy serving it. Not sure why, when we will be paying for it, duh… Seventh, when the idli and Sambhar was served hot on asked for, there was another green chutney ( pic 2) which was not served originally (pic 1) so I am not sure what is their standard of serving a dish that once can expect. Eighth, there were review slips in the restaurant, but no staff was concerned about their service or the food.

Perfect South Indian food. Ordered thali through Uber and arrived on time. Lots of varieties they have included when ordered thali and the taste was good. Though the taste is exactly not matching their branches in India, it’s still great. Love the food and the way it’s packed.

We wished to visit the restaurant tonight for dinner and so we called ahead. We asked for a reservation at 8 pm and we were told it is first come first serve. We reached before 8 and were told the wait time is 20 minutes. It was a bit cold outside so the we had to sit in the car as we had a kid with us. After about 30 minutes, we got a call to get in. The table was bigger than our party size so that was great. The quality of service and food also was great. Nothing to complain about. The only star I take away is for no option to reserve a table ahead of time and the quantity of sambhar is too low with anything you order. So we had to ask at least 7 times for an extra sambhar. All in all, we made it work and had a good time.
