Serviced my engines well for 3 years, but when my 60HP died, the sold me a used "gem of an engine" that lasted for 1 season. I decided to give them a second chance and purchased a new Evinrude 60HP for +$8,000. The vendor agreement called for the engine to be serviced twice in the first 3 years, but Sand Lake Marine failed to meet that obligation. This May, I contacted them to remove the new engine from my boat as I had other plans for it. It took 26 e-mail exchanges over 6 weeks for them to basically tell me to take my business elsewhere as they were too busy. I own a medical business and if I treated my customers like that, I would be out of business. After-sales service is not only proper customer service and breeds loyalty, it is also an excellent source of revenue. This has been a VERY disappointing experience, particularly in light of the fact that Sand Lake came so highly recommended. You would do well to take your business elsewhere unless you are simply looking for a location on Sand Lake to launch your boat. I reluctantly give it 1 Star because it is the minimum rating allowed.

They then offered me options for the repair and fixed it, again in the time stated. Friendly, helpful and willing to answer questions. Will be bringing my boat back if it is ever in need of repair again.

Plus, without asking they "lake tested" my boat and found the motor was sitting about ¾" too low on the transom. This was causing the stern to sit too low on plane and and the stern spray slowed it down. They raised the motor, bolted it to the transom and problem resolved. My sincere thanks to Lisa and Dave and the entire crew.
J	Jason Sears on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wicked service. The primary difference between this Marina and many others is that they're on the water and they can do a water test of your boat. All the other Marina I brought my boat to in the past are located somewhere within the city or the outside of the city of Ottawa and they have no way of testing a boat. Lisa and Dave were fantastic. Not only did they fix my boat that had an issue with an oil leak. They also fix my speedometer, depth gauge. They also went above and beyond and fix the linking of my shifter so that it goes into drive and reverse much smoother, I didn't even ask for this and they didn't charge me for the extra repair/adjustment. If you're looking for an honest set of Mechanics for your boat come here. They're also super duper covid-19 safe. Have a great summer and thanks again for fixing my boat so well and at a cost that was affordable.
