August long weekend. I'm very happy with the service I was given, by John he went out of his way to make our day fun, I had flat tire on my boat trailer he went out of his way to go find me a new one. when I was back at the dock from boating a tire waiting for me, now that's Custumer service. Service was above and beyond excellent. The staff were really helpful, it was a super busy place with a lot of people that weekend, and yet Custumer service was exelent. A million thanks to John and his great staff keep up the great work. 100% recommend this place to people.

Very disappointed!!! Don't waste your time!!! :( :( :( We phoned Hyperactive Watersports to make reservation for 2 Kayak rentals. We were told that they do not take reservations, it’s on the first come first serve basis, so I confirmed that it will not be an issue to get 2 kayaks at the same time in the next 30 minutes for 2 hours. We drove from Okotoks to Hyperactive Watersports in Chestermeer (50km) Upon our arrival the girl in the front, told us that at this point the wait will be about 1 hour for the kayaks, she took down 2 of our phone numbers and promised to call as soon as kayaks return, as we are next in line. An hour and a half later no call, we stopped by to check on the status of the kayaks, same girl says “oh, you are next in line and it will be another hour” at this point I was stunned, I told her that’s what she mentioned to us one and a half hours ago, ‘that it will be an hour’ and now it’s another hour?! What was going on here? She responded with an attitude “well, it’s not my fault” I was not expecting such ignorant and unprofessional response… I confirmed that we will still receive the phone call when our turn was up for kayaks. Another hour and a half went by and not one person has called us from Hyperactive Watersports, as a matter fact no call from them for the rest of the day…. Spending close to 4 hours waiting around in Chestermeer and not getting to kayak or a call from the company, we were furious and drove home in anger. How hard is it to have a booking system for water toys? There are so many ways and apps in our day and age to keep things organized. They didn’t even have sign-out book for their inventory, this place was clueless on what was in and what was out, seemed like no one was time tracking anything, people would come and grub what was available in front of them and no one considered people on the waiting list. If you are not planning on calling, then don’t even bother taking people’s personal phone numbers down. Never again!

We had a terrible experience. We called 1/2 hour before arriving to let them know we were in our way(from Calgary). They said they would hold a raft for us but as we arrived 25 minutes later they were sending out all the rafts and had none left. We decided to wait 1/2 an hour for a raft to arrive we could take and in that time we saw the employees randomly telling every other group of people who arrived whether they could go out on the water or not based on weather. While waiting one of their signs fell on my wife because of the wind and cut up her leg. The employee just came by and grabed the sign and wandered off with it. Now she has a huge gash/bruise on her leg and the employees didn't even know if they had a first aid kit on site to look at it. Five minutes after that the owner showed up and told them to shut everything down because of the high winds. All the employees had to say was "sorry about your leg, it looks like it hurts" their level of customer service is beyond terrible. After all of this we didn't even end up going out of the water after waiting 30 mins for a kayak to come in and after an injury. You would think the least they could do is invite us back on another day and apologize for the inconvenience and injury. Worst experience ever.

They provide decent equipment for rental, however are rather pricey. They also limit you to one person per SUP, so that further increases the cost.

Thanks to the young man and woman that helped my nephew and I on 8/17/17, they made our experience even better. It was my first time ever on a kayak, and my nephew, the more experienced one, chose a SUP. The young man suggested we head south so we don't tire out on our way back because of the wind and current, good call, I got a great workout and my nephew and I had a fantastic day on the lake. The facility is clean and well stocked, I will DEFINITELY make a return trip and highly recommend to friends and family.

Fantastic experience today! Thank you to all the staff, you were amazing ? From the care and excellent customer service when I checked in, to the advice on the best kayak route on the lake today based on the direction of the wind. I had high hopes that I could sneak in a one hour paddle before the rain came, but alas, I got caught in the storm. Paddling back to shore, in the pouring rain wasn’t part of my plan ..lol But then I see a boat coming toward me and I realize it is the sweet young lady who helped me into the kayak - they were out in this rain and wind to rescue me and bring me back to shore! Thanks again to all the staff, you guys are amazing!!!!

Love it. We really enjoyed it. Kayaking is more fun than feet pedal boat. Stand-up surf boards will get your clothes wet but this is the fun thing. We didn't try their canoe.

Everything is great with them but be aware that they don't teach you anything. You have to go there knowing how to use their boards, kayaks,... also be aware of the fact that the water is not clean and you have to be careful not to fall in.
