5 stars is not enough of a rating for what I would give this vet clinic. They are truly a sanctuary for anyone who really seeks veterinarian care that is professional, extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and genuine. Have been in so many different clinics for our pup and none treated him the way Sage hill Vet Sanctuary did. Owners and staff keep you at ease with their kind unassuming manner. Every time we took our Raymond to have a check up with Dr. Thursari and Dr. Lalith they were always thorough and diligent. They also are in my opinion humble and conscientious towards their pet patients and family. Dr. Thursari takes his time to explain to you any issues that your loved pets may be experiencing. I also would say something very special about this clinic is that raymond (who was very skittish at the vet) has only ever been calm at this clinic. The atmosphere led by the doctors provides a feeling of serenity and our pup is always at ease here. Even the friendly cat Holly, is so loving and greets patients and their families and is a very unique mascot of this wonderful clinic. Again, perfect name for this clinic in that they work hard to be a sanctuary and a blessing to those they serve. We are so grateful we found this clinic at the perfect time in our pups journey and that they are trusted professional who will work with you and your family to provide amazing care.

Exceptional quality of care! The staff is sweet, helpful and amazing at what they do. They truly love and care for your pet the way you’d hope a vet clinic would. My dog needed emergency surgery and they were quick, caring and patient with me as I processed everything that was happening. They got her in immediately. I made the drive from Okotoks to this specific vet clinic and I am so happy I did. Now my puppy is in recovery, she is bandaged and healing wonderfully. If ever I have trouble with her, I am coming straight to sanctuary veterinary hospital- the quality of care that comes out of this clinic is unmatched to anyone else in the city.

Unfortunately, our little 3 month old Frenchie had a fall and was in a lot of pain. Our regular vet was in the middle of a surgery and was unable to see her until later that evening. Our Frenchie was in quite a bit of pain, so we thought we take her to Sanctuary Veterinary Hospital as they were a few minutes away from our regular vet. I had called ahead and confirmed that they could see her. My husband took her there and got x-rays done, and the vet told us that there were no fractures and all she needed was rest and some pain meds. My husband declined the pain meds and took our Frenchie home. 2 days later we had a scheduled appointment with our Vet and he did a follow-up on our puppy. He requested further x-rays as the x-rays that were taken at Sanctuary Veterinary Hospital were not conclusive. The x-rays were then forwarded to the radiologist and we have now discovered that our puppy has a fracture in her growth plate, specifically in her shoulder and will require immediate surgery – which has been scheduled for tomorrow. I just called Sanctuary Veterinary Hospital to air my concerns with them and was put on hold for 8 minutes, which I then eventually hung up. I am extremely disappointed in the service I received at Sanctuary Veterinary Hospital. We paid for inconclusive x-rays, only to be told that our Frenchie had a soft tissue injury and then discover a week and a bit later that she actually has a fracture and requires surgery. I will not be coming back to Sanctuary Veterinary Hospital for any emergencies. So disappointed in the service I received the day we came in for an emergency visit, and the service I received today being put on hold.

We went to Sanctuary Vet for the first time to get a trim for our cat. They had absolutely no idea how to cut a cats hair at all. It was extremely uneven and was not done properly at all. I pointed out that it was uneven and the lady agreed with me and told me that to cut my cats hair they would need to β€œsedate” him. In the past four years we have never had to sedate our cat to get his hair cut because he never scratches or gets violent. Sanctuary vet was just unprofessional and did not know how to deal with pets in a proper manner.

Dr. Thusari was so sweet, gentle, and thorough with my guinea pig. It can be hard to find clinics that can see guinea pigs, especially on Sundays, but Sanctuary Veterinary Hospital was able to see us the same day I called! Very thankful for the service!

After frantically calling around to 14 different vets, and being met with the disheartening news that we couldn't get my 6 year old daughter's rabbit (who had stopped eating and drinking) in anywhere due to no availability or them just not dealing with "exotic" pets, we called here (luck number 15), they gladly made time to fit our sweet little girl in and quickly figured out what her issue was and sent us on our way. Not only was the service reasonably priced, they also answered any and all questions we had with no reluctance, listened to our concerns, treated our sweet lil bun bun very nicely, put my nervous daughter's mind at ease, and also explained things in ways that we would understand. I left here feeling so much better about the future of our sweet little Nibble Butt. THANK YOU!

Sanctuary vet was so incredible when we had a weekend emergency with our dog. It was near closing time but they stayed open to perform the emergency surgery. Everything was completed as quoted at a very reasonable cost. We are incredibly grateful for the care you provided for Bentley. Thank you!!

We took our rabbit Bongbong in for a first time checkup a few months ago and the vet answered our first time owner questions and made us feel comfortable with our bunny’s health. Later on we decided to do a spay with this vet as well and although we had worries in general, the vet was patient in addressing our concerns. Post operation, we were worried about our bunny’s recovery, but following the vets direction we syringe fed, applied medication, and restricted movement. Our Bongbong is now healthy and happy back to her original personality and we are happy with the service we received from this vet.
