It's right in the neighborhood so you don't have to venture out to 118th for treats, gas or lotto tickets etc. etc. It's always my go to for gassing up the lawnmower, so close the jerry can doesn't have time to stink up the car.
O	Operation420. net on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was out the first day this place opened. I didn't know it was open and wasn't planning on going shopping. As a result I didn't have my CC with me. I was looking to see the selection and where things were for when I did have my CC with me and the owner was harassing me. He asked me what I was buying and I didn't know yet and was browsing. He rushed me out. As a business owner, I can say this is a bad business decision for attracting potential customers to your business. The previous management was friendly and I knew them by name and they had my loyal patronage. Under these owners I will never shop here again. Too bad because the store 2 blocks south only takes debit :( I hope this place gets new owners again soon... R.I.P. Shelly's Kimmer
s	s mcgowan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've lived in the neighborhood for the last 9 years and like most of us I was used to going to Shelly's. Then there were new owners, KImmers. They were terrible, cold, not friendly, no sense of community. I was glad when they left and so my experience today at Sam's was great. He's just starting out, let's boost him up and help our community to have a corner store. He's such a friendly guy and his young son. The place is clean and he just needs to get his feet under him.
N	Nicole Millard on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely friendly! My boyfriend and I longboard with our dogs here almost everyday! (Even as the longboarding season ends i will still walk here with my pups) We live closer to the 711 but Sam's is definitely worth the extra few blocks. Gas is cheaper here and I do my best to only fill up here and even tell my friends in the neighborhood! The owner is always very open to feed back and improving his store for the communities benefit. My boyfriend is usually the one who goes in (due to COVID) but he always leaves with a smile on his face from how friendly the staff are. We used to come here with the old owner and were sad when it was sold but are very happy with the new owners. To the person complaining that he was upset with browsing without a way to pay doesn't obviously understand the area of the city he is in (in these times crime rates are pretty high around here) I do not blame them not allowing you to just browse ESSPECIALLY with COVID.

As one of the elderly I really appreciated his helping and kind nature. It's good to see that all the children are not disrespectful and rude, this young man was one of the nicest children I've ever met! I will surely come back to this store and I will become a regular for sure.
