About Saltillo Calgary

Saltillo Tile Calgary was started in 2010 with a partnership between Dean Carr and Mike Maese, owner of Saltillo Imports of Toronto, as a way to increase distribution in Western Canada. We quickly outgrew our original 4500 sq ft facility moving, in 2014 to our current 12,000 sq ft location.

Dean started 30 years ago in a tile wholesale warehouse which opened up an opportunity installing in Banff, later getting into estimating and sales in all aspects of flooring. Mike started Saltillo 30 years ago as an outlet for Terra-Cotta tiles which blossomed into the major marble and tile importing business it is today.

The purpose of this website is to showcase the products exclusive to Calgary that are not on our Toronto website as well as specials we will have on clear outs and discontinued inventory.

I notified Saltillo tile and their response was that it’s expected that “a few” tiles would be chipped. Despite the fact that I told them over 40% were chipped, they did not acknowledge nor compensate me. It’s unacceptable to have to pay for 100% of tiles where 40% are chipped and the company takes no responsibility. DO NOT PURCHASE from this company!

The best thing about Saltillo is Dean, he always goes the extra mile always. I would highly recommend Saltillo for tiles, they always have the greatest and update styles.

That set us back weeks while they waited for more to arrive. Once it did arrive we found flaws in the black line. We were told “it is intended that way” but it is flaws in the black paint not in the tile. It looked scratched and the tile did not have protective liners between each one in the packaging. I called and asked Kailie what we can do and she said we could return it. She never said that we would be charged a 20% restocking fee! I didn’t get a 20% discount when they ordered incorrectly? Just poor business and very disappointed.
S	Sandi Fabbro on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As soon as you walk in the door they don’t even acknowledge you , I was in there for 20 min and still nothing , I don’t care about the cost if I like something I will get it , no one asked if I needed help nothing , I went to 5 different high end tile stores and everyone greeted me at the door asked me if I needed help and spent time with me , I will not step foot in this place every again I’ll take my money and spend it elsewhere
