Salon de nuvida

I haven’t been to a hair salon for a long while, and my hair definitely needed some updating! I had the owner, Caleb, as my stylist and he was extremely knowledgable about hair and the products and treatments they use. The staff are all very friendly! I also had a very nice head massage when they washed my hair. Thank you guys for the lovely experience, I will try and come again next time I’m in town~ :D

Great service from all the staff, was served a drink and chocolate. Also, Jimmy was very gentle and gave me the best layered cut I’ve ever had! I was also in for a root perm, but he advised to get accustomed to the new hair first, then consider a perm later on as he thought it wasn’t necessary. Overall, he seemed to really care about making sure my hair matched my lifestyle and didn’t recommend any more handling than necessary. Thank you!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. From the moment I walked in you could feel the place with a warm welcome, kind detailed gestures making me sense that my business is valued. I was greeted by the friendly host at the front desk as she took my coat and umbrella so that I wouldn't be burdened with carrying it around. She kindly asked me to sit in the waiting area and very shortly after my stylist CALEB came to greet me. I love how they have respect for my time as well as their own. A quick consult with CALEB and I was on my way to the back to have my hair washed with a scalp message. This was the most comfortable hair wash I've ever gotten. You know how when you bend your neck back in those funny looking salon sinks, and you slide into your chair, but because the sink isn't in-line with the chair... you feel like you're neck is gonna snap in half? Well this was NOT like that at all! It literally felt like I was laying on a spa bed having my hair washed, but I wasn't laying, I was sitting.....that's how comfortable it was. Another detail I loved and have not seen before was the mood lighting in the wash area. It was such genius, because you're staring up at the ceiling and the lighting was just so that it would be easy on the eyes. Brilliant. Now as for the cut. I think CALEB is more than a stylist. He's an artist. Best layering job ever. Received exactly what I wanted and did so with such poise. And the salon was bright, big, clean and inviting with his lovely staff all working diligently and providing excellent service. I mean really...to sum it up. Yes, the service and the cut were amazing but what really stood out for me was the attention to detail, excellence in technique and suave in the cut and in the service that impressed me and that rarely happens. I might be happy with a place or service but for me to be impressed takes another level. So yeah. Long story short I found my hair place in Vancouver.

I got full highlights from the designer Yeoni, and I'm loving the end results!! She was very friendly and kind, she took great care in making sure that the colours turn out the way I wanted. The whole process took around ~4 hours, she took every detail of my hair into account. Highly recommended!

I did a perm and cut my hair today. Caleb did my hair and I am so satisfied with the result!!! Whenever I went to another salon and showed them the hair pictures that I wanted to do, they told me it was just dry not perm. But Caleb listened to me well and just made the perfect hairstyle that I want to do. Also, he didn't recommend what is not necessary. I actually asked him that I need to do some oil treatment and he said my hair is healthy enough without it. I am so happy to find a perfect hair salon :) and definitely will come again.

I have been going to Nuvida for 6-7 years now and Caleb and Sarah has been amazing! I always receive compliments on my hair and how healthy it is. The salon is spacious and clean, the staff are always professional and welcoming. I always feel comfortable coming into Nuvida knowing it’ll be a great time and I’ll walk out with amazing hair.

I got my a haircut from Jimmy a few days ago, and had a really pleasant time there. All the staffs were really nice and professional. I was debating between a bob or a mid length layered haircut, and asked for Jimmy's advice, and decided on the mid length cut for lower maintenance. When I finally went home and took off my mask, I realized the haircut and length didn't really suit me and was unsure if I should go back or not. I decided there's no harm in calling back, and I was able to go back and he was really professional about this whole situation and didn't extra charge me due to some miscommunication. Overall this was one of the most professional salons I've been to and I'm really content with my new cut!

Great atmosphere and they use decent hair products. I got haircut by Sarah. She is professional and friendly. My hair turn out great as excellent communication. Staffs were so gentle and polite. They care every details and provide new mask in case it got wet when shampooing. I am really glad that I finally find the place for hair in Vancouver. Thanks all :)
