Recently visited Saku and found myself to be thoroughly impressed by their offerings. Katsu is a pretty standard fare in Japanese cuisine and can be ordered at pretty much any Japanese restaurant nowadays. So going in, I didn't expect too much but again, I found myself to be pleasantly surprised. The Katsu was cooked perfectly. It came out crunchy and the meat remained juicy. The meal came with a generous helping of salad and I upgraded to get a side of udon. I would definitely come back again soon.

It was good like always, but Saku on Robson st was better. Rice was bit dry and cold, and miso soup was also different(not too bad). And sesame was served on request. Cheese katsu was delicious. Staff was kind and washroom was clean. I will visit again!

If you live in Vancouver and like Katsu, this is a restaurant I would recommend trying. The wait may be a but long as it seems like a popular place. Price range would be around $20+ per main dish. All the dishes that I ordered were fried very well. The dishes didn't feel greasy and they had the right amount of crunch and crispiness you would expect from a Katsu. 3 sides were ordered: The potato croquette, cheese Katsu, and oyster. All three sides were very delicious. I would definitely recommend trying the cheese katsu and the potato croquette. The main dish: Chicken Katsu Curry. The portion for this dish was good. They give you more than enough curry for the chicken and rice (I still had a bit leftover). The salad and miso soup has unlimited refill, so even if your order wasn't enough, you could fill up on (delicious) miso soup and salad. Customer service was pretty good. The staff were very polite and friendly.

Delicious katsu! Cute place and nice services. Feels like it's local Japanese food. The price of the meal is a little bit high. However, you can refill rice, soup, and vegetable, unlimited !

Excellent katsu! All options are fantastic, but especially the Nabe which you don’t see very often! Hearty meal and big portions. Salad dressing is also very delicious…

Very Japanese katsu place, felt like I was in Japan. The only thing is the pork is a bit lean compared to the katsu places I’ve been to in Japan. Still very tasty and excellent quality. Would definitely come back again.

A very nice dining experience with pretty presentation of the katsu sets on a wooden tray with salt and mustard condiments, soup, rice, pickles, and the katsu. Go with the cheese katsu, you won't regret it. It has incredible cheese pull and is super tasty. Plus, they have unlimited refills on the cabbage salad, rice, and soup so it's essentially a modified buffet guaranteeing you will leave full. The quality and service was all very good and great value for the price you pay.

I'd been wanting to come here for a long time and it did not disappoint. The croquette here is AMAZING and every dish looked so good! The food felt like a warm hug on a cold day. Excited to come back again to try all the dishes!! Only thing is that the restaurant gets really full so he prepared to wait.
