Miso Katsu Specialty set with two potato croquettes for lunch today. Perfectly breaded and fried pork cutlet with sides of miso, rice, cabbage, pickles and tonkatsu sauce with freshly ground sesame. I had been meaning to try this place since the spring but it wasn’t open at that time. Very friendly staff and minimal but beautiful decor.

Dissatisfied in many ways. It was my first time coming here after they moved to a new and bigger place The food is still good, but they increased the price. The service here was the worst. No greeting, no advance explanation of what wasn't available on the menu, we weren't served in timely manner. I needed something but nokne would pay attention, I had my hand up for at least 2 min hoping someone would catch me. 1/3rd way into our meal, they all of a sudden came upto us saying they will close the doors in 25 minutes. We sat down at 2:30 and their break time is at 3pm. We thought we could enjoy our meal in peace, or I wish they would tell us when we came in. Iwas verrrrrry uncomfortable throughtout the whole meal and my experience here. I would NEVER come back. Two stars instead of one because the food was at least good

We came by on the weekend for late lunch and we had to put our name on the wait list. You can check your place in line, how long you have to wait and when to head back when your table is ready via yelp app. The food is okay, service was great but you have to pay extra for everything even for a little hot sauce on the side. The food took a long time to arrive, and when it arrived it was missing the curry sauce so we had to call our waitress to ask for the curry sauce. You can ask for salad and soup refill which was good because we really like the salad. I felt a little chilly because it was a rainy cloudy day and we were seated close to the front door and the doors were wide open the whole time.

Saku is my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. There. I said it. I’ve been coming to their restaurants for years and I still love it to death. The customer service is always top notch. The restaurant design at the Robson location is to die for. It’s beautiful and spacious, and the hand wash station is outside of the toilets. That is one of my biggest things I care about in a restaurant, believe it or not. More places need to do this. Food is always high quality and delicious. Juicy and crispy katsu that is served with unlimited rice, unlimited salad, unlimited miso soup. I love the options for what to pair my katsu with. Flakey salt, mustard, katsu sauces, the possibilities are endless. I’m always walking away with either a container with food or an extremely full belly. I don’t

It was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! A well decorated place with pleasant atmosphere. The staff were nice and friendly. The food was amazing; delicious and served in large portions. It came with their fantastic traditional Japanese pickles and unlimited rice, salad, and soup. The only small complaint is that they didn't have a guest Wi-Fi. I am extremely satisfied with my experience here and will definitely visit again.

Small wait but they have a Yelp waitlist and the interior is so nice. We got the zenbu katsu, it is more than enough food for two (it comes with 3 whole katsu!!!) if you add $8+ for an additional set of rice and salad…. We messed up and order this set and another katsu set

The food and service are good, and reasonably priced. Bottomless rice as well which was a surprise. Nice ambiance in the restaurant. There can be long wait though and the bathroom is kind of odd, the sinks/mirror area are communal without a door and in full view of the dining room.

Delicious food, with large portions and very kind and attentive staff! There was unlimited rice and salad refills, and the most amazing sesame sauce to use as a topping for everything! I came with a group of friends and after one taste we all used up 2 bottles of it on our food because it was so good, so it was nice that we also got unlimited refills of the sauce bottles too!
