Average food, huge portions. Had their chicken katsu curry and it was okay. We ordered chicken karaage, but wasn't really the taste of traditional japanese (ginger, soy sauce, sake) karaage. Service was good. Can't complain.

The pork katsu was so juicy and perfectly crispy. The portion sizes was generous, they played some good kpop tunes, and the servers were all lovely and helpful. Worth a try!

Crunchy and light but not oily. Meat was juicy and not dense which is also important! This is what I expect when I get tonkatsu and this place has nailed it. Worth the drive and better than some other Katsu places in Vancouver. Came here again over the weekend, and once everything was perfect! ?

They bake their own bread and use it as a breading for their tonkotsu - talk about dedication! This is my second time visiting and came out with a full belly and a smile. Ordered the fried squid as an appetizer and they use the same breading as they do in their tonkotsu. It was a nice touch but I wish the batter was a bit thicker so that I could feel the crunch when I bite into the fried squid. But it was still quite good (No lemon wedges tho). My main course was the pork tenderloin with hot soba noodle which paired wonderfully. It was a rainy day so the soba noodle's warm soup was perfect. The tonkotsu also comes with its own miso so you don't have to order the soba on the side for the warm soup. The salad that comes with it has a sesame dressing which is not sweet but all savory which left me wanting more - I was expecting something sweeter to pair with the tonkotsu but it was still quite tasty. The tonkotsu itself was fried very well and it is delicious. It's not dry at all as you'd expect but the breading comes away a bit too easily. Otherwise, the meat is well cooked and seasoned and I was happy with my choice. I did have to pay for their tea ($2.00), but it just comes in a mug with generic tea bag and hot water - I was hoping for a kettle that I could pour into the mug but they did give us refill of the hot water to steep the tea bag again. Overall, it was very good and I would come back any time for a hearty meal with a fair price.

Delicious food at reasonable prices. We had the pork and chicken katsu the other day and nothing but great things for these dishes. Both were tender with crispy outside coating. These were fried but did not seem that oily. The tangy sauce keeps the katsu from tasting oily as well. The chopped cabbage that comes with these dishes were really good too. Surprised I ended up liking just the cabbage with the sauce as much as I did. Dish also comes with miso soup. It's perfect for that rainy and gloomy weather. Will fill you right up. Calamari and prawns were pretty good too.

My third time coming here: I've had the curry katsu and curry karaage which were both great, but my favourite that I've had here so far is the tsuyu tonkatsu. First off, the presentation is clearly beautiful. The tsuyu broth was so refreshing because it was chilled and not overly salty. I'd say the closest comparison is a chilled udon broth. The cabbage underneath was great too - added another crunchy texture aside from the katsu which was very pleasant. The katsu itself was really crispy and although I wish they had a chicken option for this dish, the pork suffices. This dish also feels much lighter compared to other dishes because of the vegetables and the chilled broth, so there's a nice balance. I'm likely going to be getting this dish from now on, and I highly recommend it because it seems like it's very underrated.

Clean and cozy little place for your crunch cravings, no fancy selection but just good old pork tenderloin with crunchy outside. Sometimes it really doesn’t need much of fancy menu, if you can just do one thing, then ace it. If you like simple good old style food with solid quality, here it is the place to go! Hands down

Nice space and they checked vaccine card and ID. The portions of pork were big, and comes with rice, salad, and miso soup. And you get to make your own sesame powder with a mortar and pestle. I ordered the cheese pork, which was good but my friend said the original was better. Very quick service. You pay at the counter.
